#11 seed vs #6 Cincy

We definitely miss Wangmene in this game. He is the only one of our bigs who could bang with the Cincy big guys, whichis why we are giving up offensive rebounds. Fortunately, the Jekell and Hyde personality of this team means that they could potentially shoot lights out in the second half.

On the other hand, this team has had troublr all year with teams that get in your face physically. I just think that our freshman are not physically strong enough at this point to take the physical bumps and stay balanced and hit shots or fight through screens or make thier cuts after getting bumped. Brown is the only one that can do that on the offensive end.

msdw, he's likely drunk or getting over it from last night. I don't say this to be mean, it's the truth. I am a huge Sir Charles fan.

They have a 5 or so second delay on his NBA stuff just in case and for good reason. But he is a massive ratings draw and brings great stuff to the table so it's worth it to them.

At this point, thank goodness for commercials. Some are repetitive, but commercial breaks reduce the amount of time we have to watch Texas attempt to play basketball. Maybe we can make a better showing with Baseball at Norman tonight. Of course all of this rant is "tounge-in-cheek" given that Barnes will fire up his team at the half for a come back win!

Sorry Third, I am a fan. I support my team through thick and thin. They play no matter what I do and I support them no matter what they do.

I am unhappy about the result of this game so far and the way they are playing (or not), but I don't have it in me to act out the way others do. I just don't. It's not how I vent or react.

So I will keep on supporting my team in the way I do and you do the same in your own not so unique way. Whatever makes you feel like a fan at the end of the day is all a-okay.

TEXAS!

Someone has to get a rebound. Watch how Chapman gets knocked off his position on defense when Cincy goes down low and they bang into Chapman. I like Chapman and he has had some big games this year, but he has troubl finishing easy shots when he gets bodied up by the defender.

Wangmene is stronger with a lower center of gravity and cannot be moved as easily. Against Cincy's bigs he matches up better on maintaining position. He doesn't have lateral quickness at all, but he plays wider than Chapman.

Yeah, I am going to be like l00p and continue to put my head in the sand to an obvious problem that has infected the Texas basketball program and has permeated the program for the past five years.

yeah, because you can fix it by acting like a child. good point.

I wish we were a 1 seed. I wish we were thumping Cincy. I wish we had better fans.

Here's the play that really sums up the game:

We run a pick and roll with Bond as the screener. All his momentum is heading at the rim, but he does a needless 180º spin to catch the ball and just looks right back out at the perimeter with his back to the basket. Meanwhile, somebody (I think it's Holmes) was WIDE OPEN under the bucket and nobody else saw him.

I have watched this team all year (yes I was able to see almost all their games) and the problem I have is that they have shown very little progress. The mistakes they made in their first few games are the same mistakes they are making now. The team has consistently shown a lack of intensity for long stretches all year long. Looks like they are just going through the motins now.

If you see an obvious problem why would you continue to support that problem.

Hope you don't have any alcoholics or drug users in your family. You sound like an enabler.

In the biggest game of the year, this team is showing no emotion. I put that on Barnes. I didn't expect to win today, but I expected to at least go down swinging.

24 - 40

I am not certain how watching all the games and making an observation on what I witnessed makes me an enabler. I guess I am an enabler of the problems with the football team, and the lack of hitting with the baseball team as I watch those teams also and pull for them.

For all their problems, I still think this team can come back, it is their nature this year.

By refusing to admit there is a problem it is impossible to hope that the situation gets better.

The analogy works. It may have a bit of shock value, but this is a shocking display of basketball I am watching and the support is even more shocking.
