Congrats to the Horns for reaching that 1000 win threshold. That's a lot of wins over the years.
Can't understand the complaining about playing time. Our reserves need to get actual game time, especially those last two-three that don't usually get into games. Games like Kansas is the place to get them that experience. They will be all the more ready to move into the "core" group next season. Our "core" group is 9-10 players, imo. The method of play does not lend itself to a very short rotation. Having little or no dropoff when the subs come is the objective. One can see the uptick in play, sometimes from game to game, sometimes from week to week. We can realistically say that we are two deep at every position and three deep in most. I think of that as a good thing, considering how hard the players have to work to get into that group of ten that will see most, if not all the action, in games.
Re attendance, it continues to increase somewhat. Last season, overall attendance was 3385. In conference, it was 3463. So far this season, the numbers are 3977 and 4544. That's a solid increase in conference play and the way our team is playing is exciting. I hope that all those students that showed up for the last weekend game come again next weekend. Those are the ones that will really push attendance back into the six thousand plus consistently.
At any rate, we can bet the team is now focused on KSU. That's not an easy place to win in. Time to start working towards win #2000.
