Unranked DE from Baton Rogue (but originally from Miss, I think)
For sure 5*. IF he commits to the Horns.

We made the top five for 2020 5-star WR Johnny Wilson from Calabasas, CA
No USC on the list. And we made it without a visit yet. Kinda interesting
For sure 5*. IF he commits to the Horns.![]()
Joe,
Any 40 time, bench & vertical on this kid?
Herman at Southlake Carroll
I will always remember Riley for the time he threw up while waiting for the snap, took the snap and threw a touchdown pass against Nick Foles' Westlake in the state championship years ago. I was sitting right there. We all saw it.
The Texas 247 site also put in a CB for high 4-star 2020 DB Chris Thompson (6'2,195) of Duncanville. There was some early aggy buzz with him but that seems to be fading. Thompson and his dad were in for ISU and spent time with Craig Naivar and Ra’Shaad Samples. Samples is sort of like like a big brother figure to Thompson and his father, Reginald, is Thompson's HS coach.....
Yup, get the best players, I don’t care where they are fromSay what u want about recruiting Texas kids first, I am not in that camp. I really like the nationwide net that Coach Herman casts, we are a national brand ...
Agree - but it would be nice to get some of the very best players from the DFW area and stop the tide going north across the Red River. I'm sick and tired of seeing DFW players going to Zero U.Yup, get the best players, I don’t care where they are from
Yeh, I know you're right, but that doesn't mean I have to like it! I'd like to see the Longhorns get first choice and let the zeroes and osu pick from the leftovers. There are always going to be DFW guys going to OU. Theres too many players to go around and Oklahoma is just up the road. Lots of sooners up there.
Maybe so. Then again, it may take them (both USC and UCLA) a number of years to get this fixed. We definitely should cherry pick top talent where it's available, and now it's available in So. Cal.Don't get used to it, USC will be back, they are blue blood and once they fix the problem with the AD, they will also fix the problem with their coach and then it's business as usual for them.
But in the mean time, you grab as much California talent as you can get.
