In another press conference Herman said he does not and does not want to call plays.Moondog, I get it, and what you wrote is a part of factual history. However, no one on this board should really think that Beck is the "real OC". Herman is the OC and, as he said during yesterday's PC, he has final say on every play. Is Beck helping things through his substitutions - probably not; but the buck on offense stops at Herman.
The real culprit on the offensive side is Mehringer. His group of players is the only group that has been spared all of the injuries, but none of the receivers seemingly do not know how to play the position, and some appear not to know how to catch the ball. Worse this is how they started the season and have shown no improvement.
He said he knows other coaches do that but he doesn't understand how they handle head coach and OC duties.
I'm going to take him at his word.
This mess is Becks.
