Your lowest test grade in college?

In Geology and I had all the old tests so I was doing quite well in the class. But the damn lab conflicted with another class and I didn't get that little snafu corrected until Halloween. So I walked into the lab on Oct 31 with my transfer papers and I was told to take a seat for the Lab mid term. The instructor reached into a box and said this is rock #1 and started passing it around. I think we were supposed to name what type of rock it was?

On 100 point scale I carded an 8

I skipped a final because I knew I was failing so I got a 0 once.

I got a 29 on my last test of my undergraduate career. Other than that, I never failed a test, can't remember the lowest though. I took my last test in GOV 312, I had already passed, I'd already been accepted to grad school, I hadn't been to class in a month went in and helped throw the curve. I figure some other people needed it.

i have had a negative test score in physics.

i worked through the first few questions, bubbled in 2-3 answers and just left knowing that the test would be my lowest score anyhow (final could replace it). i think i scored a -10 or so.

it was multiple choice, but had a 'guessing penalty'.

The only thing I can say is that in Law School if I thought I flunked a test, I made an "A", but if I thought I aced it, I did poorly. I guess the ones I got an "A" I saw all the issues they wanted spotted so barely had time to mention them all. On the ones I thought I did well, I overlooked some major topic, thus had time to easily write long discourses on the other items.

Engineering physics 303K or 303L I got 9 or 11 on some test. I'm pretty sure it was 303L which was electro magnetism. I wanna say the class average was around 27 or 33. Those departmental physics test were ridiculous. We didn't even get credit for showing our work. Straight multiple choice with 9 or 10 choices to choose from. A pure engineering weedout class. They made it damn near impossible for no ******* reason whatsoever.

The lowest that I can remember was a 72 on a Contracts exam. People talk about test anxiety etc but I had never experienced any of that except on this one exam. I kind of panicked at the beginning of the test and did not recover in time to compose cogent answers.

Physics 303K- Engineering weedout. A TA leaked test questions- the profs found out the morning of the exam (they gave 'em at 7 at night) and rewrote their 40 question test into an 11 problem test.

Since they penalized for guessing, 4 of the 6 classes had a negative average. I put in a 41 and curved up to an A (my class averaged a 25, and we were one of the better ones).

M427K - i got a 16. It was good for a D. to make a C, i had to make a 19.
The prof allowed you to replace your lowest test score with a computer project. He gave no instructions on the project. I picked the easiest one and he wouldn't accept it. Only prof i cussed out at UT.

An engineering materials class, too long ago to remember the course #.

I made an 11. Class average was 14. Test was 1 hour with 5 problems to solve.

Prof came in the next day to go over the test. Said no one had even tried #1. Said he worked #1 at home the previous night and it only took him 90 minutes!

test anxiety is real. i get it. always have. the only reason i even made it into UT was b/c high school grades are averaged between homework and tests. i'm a terrible test taker.

economics, the 1st one i think. no need to even take it as i was CS major. 3 exams, 54 58 55, even though i knew all the material. made a deal that the final would be my grade for the class. 58.. oh well.

dev psy class with R. Bigler. her tests were probably the hardest i've taken. my boss' dad taught at UT with her in the early 90's and somehow that came up. for the final, she let me take multiple choice and essay, use the top score. pretty sure she had pity on me and gave me a B. graduated that semester. i'm still

to the day for her

i think it was a 24 in calc...still made a B i the class.

I remember a classmate getting a -5 on an intro physics test. they deduct points for wrong answers so you are better off leaving it blank vs guessing.

there was a whole explanation posted, about how guessing is akin to gambling, which is a risky behavior associated with drug use, reckless driving, jail time, etc, and they did not want to encourage in students. stupid.

Lowest grade - 68 on organic chemistry test ( I was pretty pissed at myself for that one)

Best grades - 100 on animal physiology final / 105 on general chemistry final

You don't want a flunkie cutting into you with a scalpel do you?

You know a lot of people go to college for seven years...

i dont think i have ever made anything lower than mid 30s. i think i got about a 60-65 on that MIS stats test. hell maybe higher.

First semester at UT I took 17 hours of Calculus, Biology, Chemistry, Latin, etc. Not one easy class. Several counselors tried to talk me out of it, but I thought I was bulletproof (how hard could it be...right?).

First day of calculus (the one for engineers), the prof (James Vick) asked for a show of hands of people who took calculus in high school. I didn't see a single person in the room other than myself with their hands down.

A few minutes later, he says, "Well, we all know that the derivative of x cubed is 3x squared," and goes on to expand on that idea. I had no ******* idea where any of that came from-- complete and total mystery what the **** he was up there talking about.

It turned out to be the least confused I was for the entire semester.

Made a 57 on the first test. Should have dropped the class right then, but I thought, "Well, we get to drop one grade, so no big deal." What an idiot.

He gave me a pity D for the final grade. Should have gotten an F, except that I went to every lecture and turned in all the homework.

Took calculus at a junior college the next summer and made an "A." Looked back at my final from UT and figured that I would probably have failed it again.

My gpa for my last two years at UT was about a 3.9. Calculus just wasn't my thing.

I made a mid-50s score on a PR midterm because I blew off studying. But I rebounded to get the second highest grade in the class on the final, so I still got a B in the class.
