Your Hornfanniversary?

Today is my 2nd-year HornFanniversary; I like to sport the throwback sig on this day.

5/11/00, but I was posting back before then. Now I'm struggling to get the last 40 or so posts to get to 5,000.

Digging up an old one here.

I registered 12/17/02 and can't believe it's been 11 1/2 years. I actually registered in '01 under a different name but had to start over.......

I originally registered in 1998. I'd been baseball tailgating with Robert and Katy for years and had no idea they had website. Since then, I've posted a time or two.

12/20/01 I was stationed overseas in the military and was missing my longhorns. If you ever were deployed during christmas you know it SUCKS. Anyways, I lurked for a LONG time and one day a few days before christmas I registered. If you remember, 9/11 happened that year and my life was on red alert 24/7. This site was comforting to me on my time off being so far away from home. Don't miss the internet cafes though. lol

10/15/99 here. Moved back to Austin in fall of '97. Horns start the turnaround in fall '98. Guess I jumped onboard Hornfans the following fall. Miss a lot of the original posters...it was pretty active back then

My hornfannaversary is 3/2/02 which should correlate relatively closely with the demise of the Austin360 board. That is why I arrived here. I was homeless on the internet highway.

9/27/00 I joined just before leaving on an extended driving trip in Baja. I completely missed the OU game for the first time ever, and I was dying to know the result. In a town called Guerrero Negro, I went to the local school and asked the guy who ran the computer room if I could get online. I got on Hornfans and pow, 63-14. I remember the guy asking me if I felt OK. Ah, memories.

October 13, 2003. We had just driven back from Dallas, OU taking off our heads 63-14, I think, but my wife and I were super impressed with Vince Young, and wanted to post about how great he had played. His record was still technically 0-0. I had read the forum before that, but that's when I joined and why I took the name. I have really enjoyed it over the past 10 years, but this last couple of years has not added much. It used to be so clever and subtle and intelligent. Now, the tone is set by the despicable TexasTaps--the worst thing that ever happened to the board. Oh well, thanks for the memories!

Daaang... I dont even remember starting this thread... And I cant believe how long it's been...

Hook'em, y'all.

Registered 12/8/01 - but started prior by me looking for tickets to the 2001 Big XII Championship in Dallas - UT vs. Colorado

My official entry here as Crockett started 10/22/06. I started posting here about 2000 as Right Tackle, but forgot my password and reregisted with a new name. For a while I posted mostly at the now defunct Longhornfanzone.com.

11/20/01

Horns were rolling into the aggy game which they won 21-7. colorado the following week which i do not have to remind anyone how that turned out. It did however spawn a great line "super fan in the jack tripper sport coat." good times.

and i cannot believe i am the first to say this, but i cracked up at the train wreck that was the mojicas on the old 3:16 board.
