Young worker died today at McKinney Boyd HS

My sister just called on her lunch period. She's a coach at the new HS in McKinney. She said a 22 year old man was working on the lights up on a ladder when he was electrocuted. He fell off the ladder to the ground. People were trying to work on him and one ran out to the football field to grab the defibrillator, but it was too late.

I have no idea who he was other than a young man doing his job. Pretty sad event. I hate sudden deaths as they are very hard on the family. Maybe someone up there in DFW can scan the papers tomorrow and get a name.

A few months after Shadowdancer and I got married, one of our groomsmen was electrocuted at work. He taught in the laser technology department at TSTC in Waco, and it was graduation time. The students in his program had planned a laser show for the graduation ceremony to show what they'd learned, and Mike was setting everything up. Safety was his utmost concern, and he was doing nothing wrong, but there was some sort of a power surge and he was killed instantly.

My heart aches for the family of the young man in McKinney, just as it ached for Mike's family.
