Yellow Parking Pass Lots

Sorry if this is someone's secret spot, but...

Does anyone here set up to tailgate in the two small lots directly north of the Erwin Center but still south of MLK? I'm afraid my donation level means progressively less each year, and wanted to know if these lots are more or less available on Saturdays if you get there right at 7AM...

We tailgate on the southeast lawn of the erwin center, but many of us do not have yellow passes, so we park where we can and walk over. Once again, **** the foundation.

Those small lots usually contain opponents' tailgates, so bring a water gun.

Those are horrible lots. Please don't even think of parking there! We are in that lot, it is all texas fans- it was in prior years a lot given to the visitng school, but last year was all Longhorn foundation parking.

If you want a decent spot, you need to get there around Noon for a 6 PM game. Exception are the bigger games- say Tech last year. There are a number of long-time regulars in that lot, so be careful about poaching someones "spot".

There is plenty of shade and a a lot of space, but not a lot of space right next to the lot, so plan on carrrying your stuff to a spot- unless you get there early.

What I was told by those who have been there longer than us ( we got bumped there last year in the parking shuffle) is not the whole lot. The people we tailgated next to all of last year have been there for years, but said there were lots of visiting fans in the past. Can't tell you any more than that, just what we were told. There were many new folks, but several who said they had used the lot for years. Best I can tell you.
