WVU game 2

Ramey with a knee/shin to Matthews, Jr.'s head on the way down. That poor guy is taking a beating today.

Absolutely embarrassing! 19 point lead blown down the drain and they can't say it's because they didn't practice because it was one of the better games of the season besides the meltdown. I hate to bring it up but if Shaka doesn't at least get to the 3rd round with a team like this then he needs to go.

Hard to imagine a new arena with a continuation of more of the same ...

To think he is a coach of the year finalist. No way he is in the top 50 coaches in the country much less top 15.

The same old sad sacks are absent when anything good is happening, but they jump out to pile on when something bad is happening to us.

"Hornfans" generally means fans of the Texas Longhorns. But a few pop up and rejoice in things that are negative for the Texas Longhorns.

What I didn't like most was the internal feud between the guards at courtside. But otherwise--Temporary setback. We'll close out the year well and go deep in the tournament.

No, they are playing like a Smart coached team.

We admire your persistence. We hope you are right, but Shaka seems to disappoint every year.

Shakas teams are like groundhog day...replay the same crap over and over. I was a converted believer after the Kansas beat down with probably the most experienced & talented team in Texas history, but I failed to take in to account the Shaka effect.

Basketball is not football where coaches make "great halftime adjustments". Basketball is about making constant adjustments as the game flows. He may have made some changes at halftime but he gets paid to coach the whole damn game not just halftime.

It boggles my mind that anyone can defend Shaka. I left when WV tied it up I left as I knew what the ending would be. 18 fing pts given up on turnovers in the 2nd half.

2 predicted 1st rd draft choices and a Sr point guard that's one of the best in the country and this is what we get. And AJ with 6 turnovers constantly thinking he can shoot through 3 players taller than him.

Well coached teams find a way to win. Poorly coached teams find a way to lose.:puke:

Turnovers, missed opportunities (Kai Jones should have had an easy catch and dunk with less than a minute remaining) and one-sided officiating cost us the game. To WV's credit, they were red hot from 3, but the Horns let that one slip away in a very frustrating fashion.

I don’t buy the “one sided officiating” excuse. One team was able to adjust to the officiating and one did not make adjustments.

Our Horns have gotten into foul problems while putting our opponents into the double bonus early all season.
Our team is not well disciplined, jawing back and forth with each other even. Also I suspect we may lead the B12 in technical fouls made by players.

What you have in UT, Texas Tech, WVU, OU, and to a lessor extent Kansas are 5 teams that are at more or less the same level. Most games come down to the final couple of possessions. I was really happy with this game until the internal fight as it looked like the team regained its confidence. Texas had a wide open 3 to win the game and then a wide open lay up to tie the game. Unfortunately both were missed. The drawn up plays were great especially the second one as it was designed for Greg Brown who was held (even by OU football standards) but plan B to Sims failed. As long as this internal fight does not spread, I like the team's chances going into the tournament. Let's get behind this team and these kids or in other words let's act like Longhorns.

we are behind all of the teams listed, including Kansas. TTU is the only team below us and we pkay the in Lubbock. In addition, in head to head competition, we are probably only ahead of Kansas.

Greg brown hasn't scored a point and just fouled their shooter on a fall away 3.
Honestly, has his game improved as the season has gone on? I don’t see it.
I don’t have any idea why it seems stagnant, or possibly regressed. Probably due to the constant interruptions to practice and games due to COVID.
