Frankly, I'll give the guy credit......For what, getting caught with his pants down?

As of yesterday, he admitted to everything and admitted he lied about it and not just to "protect his family," but because he was embarrassed.....No he denied the story for over a week until he got caught with evidence and called multiple press conferences and requested interviews to deny it, claimed a hacker did it and accused breitbart as the hacker.

He didn't do the Larry Craig denial or attack his accuser like Clinton did.....he did exactly that.

He didn't do the Jim McGreevey and try to make his crotch activity and cover-up a civil rights issue.....he basically claimed the race card and blamed conservatives.

He also didn't do the Jason Giambi - say how horribly sorry you are but refuse to say what you're sorry for.....he did worse, he brought his wife in and made her part of the story by claiming she knew about it.

It's one of the few times I've seen a politician take unequivocal responsibility for something. It's almost refreshing.....you probably shouldnt be allowed to vote.

I feel terrible for his wife. She's got to be utterly humiliated.

It's one thing to find out your new husband is a worthless POS, quite another to find out in such a public fashion, and while you're pregnant with his child.

I agree with you. How hard this must be for his wife who is somewhat a public figure too.

Apparently she knew he had ' issues"but he promised her before they married that he had changed.

I did not know Kirsten Powers dated him. She wrote a column explaining how she at first defended him since he called her and promised her he was telling the truth. Then she finds out he used her and Man don't piss Kirsten off. She will not forgive.

Very, very few politicians are willing to stand behind a colleague who is notorious. They as a whole are spineless jellyfish. The outcasts who survive are the ones who really don't give a damn what others in their party or outside their party think - sometimes this comes from hubris and sometimes it is due to career politicians thinking they have nowhere else to go. I doubt very few truly believe that it is because their work is "too important".
