Maybe Weiner's milking all possible publicity out of this before he goes to work promoting a physical fitness program. Maybe he can work with Christopher Lee to create the Bipartisan Fitness and Male Enhancement Program for middle aged men wanting attention from young women. Together they have created more media stir this spring than Lindsay Lohan and Brittany Spears. There's gotta be some way to turn that into money.
 
Don't assume he will resign. He is in a fairly safe district as far as re-election goes. Plus, Im not sure if any laws were broken. He is a dumbass for sure

I wouldn't be so sure his district is safely Dem. The margin of Dem wins for POTUS has shrunk in last 2 elections plus wenier won last time with 59%. His previous victories averages 66%.

The population is Jewish with a growing Orthdox segment. Some suggest Dems could suffer from Obama's attitude toward Israel.

A 46 year old married man sending pics of his penis to 21 year old coeds was intended to be a "joke." Hilarious! At least he is finally being candid and his contrition is palpable. I admire him for that.

Seriously though, the best part is observing how effortlessly all the apparatchiks switch gears from outright denial to rationalization.
 
He will resign in a while. Truly amazing the level of maturity we have in politics. SNL will have a field day with this!!!

Realistically how can he run again? His oponents will ave a field day. 1) he is a pervert (of course we all are but not that open and not at work) 2) he is a liar 3) he shows horrible judgement 4) hard to ever take the high road again 5) he did this during working hours on office/govt computer 6) women will hate him for it etc etc he cant win. The party will force him out to give someone knew a chance to be an incumbent
 
You know, I feel for Anthony, sorta. I've never been married, but I have cheated. And, really that's all he did. 90% of guys busted will deny, deny, deny and then attack, attack, attack. Dragging Breitbart into this, made it that much worse.

But, then the dude is such a political, arrogant, ***..my sympathy goes out the window. So, much for the important work. Not, sure if he should resign or not, but he definitely should not be re-elected.

And, if Tax Cheatin Charlie can keep his seat after an investigation, then why even bother.
 
it doesnt really bother me so much that he lied about the deal. all politicians are dirtbags and lie. what is disturbing is how he put himself out there on the talk show circuit, criticized the press, created very large and technical fabrications for interviews. this guy clearly can't be trusted on anything he says. he is the type of politician that would probably participate in blackmail, fraud, etc., anything to get his way. it's not like the guy just said, i didnt do it and went away and hid. this guy is dangerous.
 
Frankly, I'll give the guy credit.

As of yesterday, he admitted to everything and admitted he lied about it and not just to "protect his family," but because he was embarrassed.

He didn't do the Larry Craig denial or attack his accuser like Clinton did.

He didn't do the Jim McGreevey and try to make his crotch activity and cover-up a civil rights issue.

He also didn't do the Jason Giambi - say how horribly sorry you are but refuse to say what you're sorry for.

It's one of the few times I've seen a politician take unequivocal responsibility for something. It's almost refreshing.
 
Txstate, come on. That was for one reason. He was nailed in his previous lies, which did include attacks on his accuser. I agree he FINALLY came clean, but to complete that step he needs to resign, which would truly move him above Clinton.
 
Breitbart always looks drunk to me. Does anybody else get that vibe? 3 day stuble, unkempt hair, unbuttoned shirt, boisterous, semi-belligerent...
