Rip, you are the first and only person I've ever met whose musical tastes I wholly respect, but also reject.

For example, you love Rush, and I understand that everyone in Rush is a complete and indisputable master of their art form, and I understand how someone could love their music, but I just don't like them.

These are my favorite bands, with their worst songs in my mind

The Gloaming by Radiohead
Revolution #9 by the Beatles
pretty much anything post Hi-Fi by REM
Chinese Bombs by Blur
Wake Up Dead Man by U2
Talk by Coldplay

But really struggling to think of a fly in the ointment of the Chumbawumba catalog. They are all just so good.

Have any of you guys ever heard "Enjoy Yourself" by Michael Jackson? Now I realize that he is not a band and that there can be debate as to his "greatness", but there can be no argument about the horror that IS this song. Try listening to it nearly 24/7 while your "friends" throw you in a trashcan full of ice and water while you recite the brotherhood's lore! ****, it makes me want to grab an automatic weapon and run through a mall.

the worst beatles song is "blue jay way" off the magical mystery tour album.

at least "wild honey pie" is short.

Blue Jay Way is pretty damn bad. Add on whatever that Mother Was Born song right after, and it's the toughest part of Magical Mystery Tour to listen to.

funny to see this thread, as i came across a song on my ipod earlier today and thought, "holy sh*t, that has to be the worst song ever by a great band."

the band -- The Eagles
the song -- "No More Walks in the Wood" from Long Road Out of Eden

just a miserably painful tree-hugging song.

I'm also going with REM, but choosing "Ignoreland".

The only bad song on one of the greatest albums of all-time. Thank goodness for digital music, where this song can just be deleted.

You guys are way off on the worst Zeppelin song. It was Carouselambra. That song was so bad Jimmy Page and Robert Plant barely let John Paul Jones back in the band.
