Well the mindset approach is not working and Augie is all about the mindset approach. For those that think teaching the mechanics is not important either never played any sports or are completely clueless. Playing any sport is based on learning the correct mechanics or technique or how to perform. So to say mechanics or technique is not important is just absurd.

What is the mechanical break down in all of Texas hitters swing? Obviously, mechanics are important but I believe the mental approach is even more important unless all of TX hitters swings are just broken - which is not the case. Since these players were recruited by Texas I am just taking a wild guess and believe they have sound mechnics for the most part. BTW I played D-1 basketball - but I guess I am clueness and never played sports.

Hitting in high school is a little different because you're not facing that many quality pitchers. So unless you actually see these hitters play which Harmon has not in the past. He just goes by their stats. You may have a problem.
