winter is coming

That was a really boring episode. Yes, I understand how important dialogue and background info is but, there could have been something besides yapping.

Who is the Harris fellow you mention???

There are some serious whoppers going to happen this season, so just hang on.

It has just been announced that the series was green lighted for a third season. Per the Game of Thrones Facebook page.

The last couple eipsodes have been disappointingly uneventful.

As much as I enjoy the show and Martin's imagination, it seems like there are too many sub-plots to move any of them along meaningfully.

"Could not really tell until this last episode, but I think it is official now that Rob Stark's new gf is the sizzle." ----- I am Joe Fan, and I approved this message.

Oona Castilla Chaplin is the great-granddaughter of Eugene O'Neill, granddaughter of Charlie Chaplin, daughter of Geraldine Chaplin and looks good naked.

PFD,

That's certainly true of the fifth book. Martin can't stop himself from expanding the story. His imagination is fun and he maybe over-indulges his tendency to describe trivial things in detail. These were advantages in creating this world. Now they're bogging him down.

It will be extremely interesting to see what happens in Book 6 which may be years in the writing.

In his notes, he said writing book 5 was a "*****" and I think he felt the same way about book 4. Maybe he'll start pulling it all together for the next effort.

Things are about to take a massive upswing.

Spoilers are coming,
(from the last couple of episodes)The whole Bran/Rickon "death" thing didn't have the same kick on screen as it did in the book. Between my wife and several people at work who have never read the books, nobody bought it. Had they shown them burying the parents, but not shown that it was the parents, then it maybe could have been an easier sell. People might have assumed it was the wildling girl and Hodor, perhaps.
