Will There Be Race Riots?

Don't bet on it, Zork. The Campaigner-in-Chief is only interested in the 2014 elections, so race riots in Florida will be just fine with him. He'll probably send the DOJ and FBI down to arrest police.

Good article, Larry. If Zimmerman had been black no one would ever have heard of this case. It is sad that the black-on-black crime is not reported by the MSM. As of today, there have been 219 murders in Chicago this year. Because most of them involve only blacks, this is largely ignored, but this is such a sad statistic - each of those victims had a future taken away.

This is what the Jesse Jacksons should be outraged by, and they fact that they don't seem to be speaks volumes.

At the end of yesterday's proceedings, the prosecution approached the judge (or however it is done, I'm not a lawyer) about allowing the jury to find Zimmerman guilty of lesser charges, since they know they didn't prove 2nd degree murder beyond a shadow of a doubt. Radio pundits speculated they could find Z guilty of assault or even manslaughter.

Finding him guilty of a lesser charge would put Z in jail for a significant amount of time and perhaps keep Florida from burning.

Guilty or not, Zimmerman may have to take one for the team and that's too bad. What ever happened to "it's better to let a hundred guilty men go free rather than lock up one innocent man"?

When the Regime comes after the dems/libs, these obama type actions won't be "OK" anymore.

Not sure if it is true, but I read somewhere that a white person is 36X more likely to be murdered by a black person than the reverse.

This is a comment from the former police chief about the media.

Watching the prosecutors closing arguments. It's a complete joke. He keeps talking about skittles, hoodies and Martin doing nothing wrong. The defense should destroy this whole case their closing arguments.

Please, please, please......

Somebody use the Chewbacca defense. That is the only thing missing from this kangaroo court.

Can someone explain the legal argument for manslaughter for Zimmerma?

The only way he's acquitted...the only way you don't think he's guilty of murder is because he was defending himself when he felt his life was in danger. IMO, there's enough reasonable doubt on that issue.

So the only way you aquit Zimmerman is because you think he was defending himself, that it was deliberate act to defend himself from an attacker with deadly force...which is legal. That seems completely contradictory to manslaughter. He didn't accidentally shoot Zimmerman, his gun didn't go off a la Placico Burress, he wasn't aiming at something else and accidentally hit Martin. From a precedent standpoint was does that mean? I don't get it.

Self defense negates both murder and manslaughter? Yes?

Ahh. Okay. So something with malice is muder 2. A murder of opportunity, such as shooting and killing someone during a robery would be something like murder 3? And accidentally killing someone because of road rage/negligence a la drunk driving might be manslaughter?

We think that Martin made the first move because Zimmerman is the only one here to tell the story. It sucks, but we have nothing else to go on. I dont think he should be convicted because of the possibility that he is lying when the physical injuries seem to back up his claim. As far as the gun, I don't believe Zimmerman when he said Martin was going for the gun. It's a black gun and its dark outside. Remember, he claims that he got out of the car so that he could read the street sign. If Martin was going for the gun, it's because Zimmerman flashed it or told Martin he had it. But, we will never know that either. All we know for sure is that a guy was getting his head pounded into the pavement by a guy sitting on top of him. That's enough for self defense even if Martin wasn't going for the gun. I can see the jury going for manslaughter because of the negligence of Zimmerman to be in the situation he got himself in.

Question for the lawyers: To be considered negligence in relation to manslaughter, does the action have to be illegal in any way? All the things that Zimmerman did before the altercation were stupid but not illegal. Does that meet the legal definition or not?

Will there be race riots?
There will be if the BO DOJ can get them organized.

here is a BO DOJ person with the CRS( community rabble orgitators) telling the Sanford city council
"The legal watchdog Judicial Watch released an audio recording Thursday of a Department of Justice staffer urging Sanford, Fla., city officials and the minority advocacy group Dream Defenders to seek justice for Trayvon Martin, because “if a community perceives that there’s something wrong in the black community, there’s something wrong.”
When Trayvon happened, for many of us, it was the proverbial straw that broke the camel’s back,” he continued. “We had grown up in a state and environment where race is a way of life … We’re not from Sanford, but what Sanford represented to us was the very real problems going around this state and this country. We wanted to figure out how could we stand in solidarity, and how could we make this about not just justice for Trayvon, but using this moment and using the opportunity to honor his memory, to honor his spirit by working to bring down the various structures and the various systems that allow something like this to happen.”
