I have no idea if he really sent a pic of his junk to a coed in Seattle but the jokes that have and will come out of this story are great.

I do wonder, if ,as he said, he was hacked why delete all the evidence? And why not get the police involved?
And how smart was it for a Congressman in NY to follow young women all over the country including a porn star and a high school student? But none of that means he sent the pic.
It just brings up more questions.

Isn't it time Wenier briefed the public on this? Why risk exposure. Bring it all out in the open. Clear up any gray areas.

doubt there will be much follow-up on this. it took literally years for the crap on edwards to come out and only after he was considered dead weight by the democratic party.

Why was he following a 21 year old girl from Seattle via Twitter anyway? Can he explain that one?


*EDIT: I just read Andrew Breitbart is involved. So for now, i will consider the source and withhold judgement until more is known. Mr. Breitbart is not exactly going to win a prize of journalistic honesty and professional integrity anytime soon.


**DOUBLE EDIT: OK, i just read some more on this. the guy who went public, Dan Wolfe, with all this is:

1) follows neither Wiener or the 21 year old girl, but somehow was the only person to catch the tweet. in the right place at the right time? Talk about amazing luck.

2) tweeted two weeks earlier that Wiener was about to be rocked by a sex scandal and

3) twitter name is patriotusa76 with the byline "Conservative Reagan Republican, No Obamacare, socialism, sharia. Proud of the USA & Proud to be an American with NO apologies. No elitists need apply."

i don't know... the more info that comes on who "the players" are, the more fishy it seems.

We'll see.

As I said I have no idea of Mr. Weiner sent the photo of his wiener to a girl in Seattle
and I don't know if Breitbart set him up . There are some suspicious things about all this, Following so many young girls including a High school student look a tad creepy for a man who got married last year.
Deleting all the evidence looks suspicious
being hacked yet not getting the police involved looks suspicious.

One of his Handlers should make sure he gets it out in the open.maybe issue a brief?

These guys have thousands of followers and they reciprocate many of those followers. I infer it to be a cyclical thing. Please, someone tell me if I'm wrong. I have a twitter account that I haven't checked in over a year. But, following someone on twitter is nothing. It's a step or two removed from being a friend on facebook.

Weiner had over 45,000 followers. The day the weinie shot was sent he "followed" only 91, many of whom were young females all over the country.
The CNN account sounds like they have some doubts about his story

All laughs aside this is serious, hacking a US Congressman's accounts.
No matter who it is, Breitbart or any right winger they should be caught and prosecuted.
 
As someone who has had his email account hacked, if this is what happened to the Congressman, I hope the culprit is captured and crucified.

If Weiner did it himself, then he is likely only guilty of being stupid and a liar, which is about what you would expect from someone in Congress.
 
I don't personally know a lot of Congressman, but my personal Rep., Dr. Michael Burgess, doesn't seem like a Twitter kinda guy. He's smart and hard working, but isn't exactly a hipster. Does anybody on this board have a Congressman for whom something like this would be believeable at all? I mean Michael Burgess in a mess like this would be like reading about a grandma using her four pronged cane to beat to death an attacking Grizzly.
 
i liked his press conference yesterday. it was funny. he couldnt answer a yes or no question. each time he was asked whether or not he sent a picture or knew this girl he would give the same response...."if i was giving a speech in from of 40,000 people, would i respond for 2 hours to someone that tried to throw a pie at me..."

so here are the accusations as they have been reported...

someone breaks into weiner's twitter account on his actual computer and follows this college student on twitter in seattle

bretbart is accused of hacking into weiner's twitter account when all this guy has shown in the past in the form of technical saavy is that he didnt show a complete recording given to him by the naacp that everyone had access to.

weiner didnt file a police report eventhough breaking into anyone's computer, much less a us congressman, is a federal offense.

Wiener has been married a year

A naked photo of somebody's wiener was sent from weiner's computer to this girl in seattle.

somebody broke into weiner's office to delete wiener photos from weiner's computer.

congressman weiner had dinner with bret farve the other night to share war stories.

on the bright side, at least we can assume that weiner's wiener is kosher.

This is the same guy that held congressional hearings last year on conservative talk radio because they sold gold on their programs and he actually believed this was the cause for rising gold prices or it was a political stunt....you decide...
 
I wouldn't be surprised if James O'Keefe is behind this, esp. considering his close relationship w/ Breitbart, who broke this non-story.

I don't know if its a non-story. It certainly is a funny story. Christopher Lee just resigned over a similar scandal. What's funny is you think Breitbart or O'Keefe is behind this. I guess they might be but the twitter's came from the office computer apparently. The girl and other females have also confirmed that Wiener has been tweeting them and following them. Why would he be doing that while married. What is funny is that Bill Clinton married him to Hillary's chief aid. To quote Hillary, I'm sure its just another vast right wing conspiracy.

If the Dems thought so they'd have already called in the FBI, which is what they should do.
Can you imagine the play this could get it is is proven any right winger did this?

weiner's too coy refusal to discuss this anymore is pretty strange. He went from declaring his twitter and facebook accounts were HACKED to now calling it a prank.

I am betting soon someone on his staff will step up and admit it or some former disgruntled staffer who for some reason still had codes ofrmaybe an old buddy.

Weiner might have made a mistake saying he was hacked.

I threw my right-wing conspiracy out because I've seen Republican "dirty tricks" grow from the Muskie letter and Watergate to the previously mentioned ACORN, etc. As I said, there's a long and proftable bond between O'Keefe and Breitbart. Anything is possible when it comes one party going after another, legally or not. It's maddening as well as depressing.

Unlike Rep Lee who dumbassedly showed his face, Wiener's alleged pic only showed the crotchal area. Could have been anyone, even O'Keefe, who's pretty good at acting.

IF it turns out to be Wiener, he should resign in disgrace immediately. And I'd hate that because he's fearless when discussing policy, fun to watch.
 
I dont even know who this guy is but if one assumes that all members of Congress are lying, thieving douchebags then you wont have to feign surprise every time one of them acts like a douchebag.

Occams Razor would suggest that rather than several nefarious groups hacking his account and risking prosecution, the douchebag took a picture of his junk and hit "send."

Well orchestrated shadow campaigns are much less common than garden variety idiocy, especially in Washington.

As previously mentioned, Weiner's biggest problem is the lack of information. When asked if the picture is of him, Weiner said, "I can't say with certitude."

You mean he doesn't know if he ever shoved an iphone down the trousers and snapped a few postcards? If he never took photos of his tackle-berries, he shouldn't have a problem answering.

Maybe hubris explains it better than stupidity in this case.

So Weiner was all huffy. he was HACKED. amazingly he deletes all the evidence and now he is using the word Hoax or prank.

If he was really hacked why didn't he notify authorities. One FBI guy on MSNBCsaid the FBI could have found out in 15 mins if it came from weiner's computer or if it came from someone else.


Any one want to be he will find someone to take the fall? It won't answer why he follows so many young and even young females on Twitter and it won't answer how someone else could have gotten a pic of his weiner

but to dems it will be enough.

Just got around to reading about this deal. Weiner may or may not be telling the truth but his answers and positions on the deal are too funny. I especially like the "im just going to get back to work on the issues stance". Code word for please god make them stop asking me these questions because my wife is gonna be mad when she finds out i was sending pictures of myself to young women. There are no grey areas here. Either it is him in the picture or not. The ONLY possible reason he won't deny it is that it might actually be him and he knows that if he is caught in a lie it will be worse than if it is really him in the picture.
