Why the lineup change?

That's what I'm saying. Keyes started that rally in a way that Moldenhauer couldn't. Get him back in the lineup. I also like Lusson right now, not to mention he can go and get balls out there in center.

Notice that goodfellow only has a few post. Make you wonder what his true colors are. Could they be maroon and white or crimson and cream?

I was thinking about this thread the other day - we sure haven't played very well offensively since these changes were made. Hopefully we'll see the benefits down the road. TTT

There are three positions on the ballfield that I don't care if they don't hit their weight: catcher, shortstop and centerfield. The gloves at those position are much more important to me than what they do at the plate. (I have few worries about catcher and center, but I am still unsure about short.)

HOWEVER, I do expect those guys to be able to lift a sacrifice fly to the outfield when we've got a man on third and fewer than two out.

With the kind of pitching we've been getting and the good gloves up the middle, the rest of the lineup needs to produce much better at the plate if we are going to get out of regionals this year. And, with the kind of talent this team has, anything less is a severe disappointment.

This team SHOULD be Omaha-bound.

old65horn,

goodfellow has won more national championships than Augie.

That's why he's qualified to be so critical of a fellow coach that has won 5 . . .
