Why IIs the Tower Orange

Is it me, or is the tower lit orange more frequently these days? I remember when I was in school that the tower was only lit a couple times a year (graduation, a national championship from one of our athletic teams). Now it seems lit orange every couple of weeks.

First of all....I'd find every excuse to light the tower orange as possible if I was running the show because it's a beautiful sight.

I don't think lighting the tower orange is very rare....Whats rare is of course the #1 in lights when we win a NC.

I'd bet the tower is lit orange more than 30 times a year lately...

southaustin, I'm with you. Back in the early 90's we were estatic just to to see the crown lit up back then, it was so seldom. Ahhh the dark days.

If the tower is orange, it almost always means somebody won something important, so if it's happening a lot, that's a good thing.
