Who to root for?

I'm torn about who to root for tonite. On one hand, I want Utah to win and for oregon state to not win another game this year to make SC's loss seem as pitiful as possible. On the other hand, I don't really want a "decent" Utah team to make it into a BCS bowel by being ranked in the top 12 at the end of the season and knock out a deserving team who plays a more difficult schedule. I think we all remember how riveting the Pitt-Utah Fiesta bowel a few years back was.

UTAH since I hate the Pac 10 and want the MWC dominance to continue this year. Aren't they 4-0 vs the pac 10 this year?

Anyway, BYU ends up playing and should beat UTAH later on down the road so 1 of the 2 will be eliminated from a possible BCS appearance.

A BCS Bowel? Utah must really stink if they end up in a BCS bowel.

Seriously though, go Utes. Utah still has plenty of teams to lose to, including BYU and TCU. I think TCU will be a stick in the mud, beating Utah and Utah will probably beat BYU, making two of them ranked at the end of the season but not in the top 12. Go Utes.

Go Utes!

Also, will be rooting for Arkansas to beat Florida, because it makes us look good if Arkie wins, and I like it when Urban loses.

Kentucky beating Bama would be funny too.

last year or 2 years ago, someone used to post a thread about who to root for that weekend that would maximize Texas' points in the BCS standings that weekend, I wish that would get started again.

Nothing wrong with bowels, that is what I call 'em in reference to a team I don't like is in one. This should be a fun game to watch. In this case I could care less if Oregon aggy or the Utah Engines win - regardless, either way has no influence on the Horns, which is my bottom line.

Utah has a pretty good squad. If they go undefeated, they will be deserving of that BCS spot in my opinion. Same goes for BYU. The Mountain West is every bit as good as the ACC or the Big East this year.

Utah will win and they'll cover. Under Mike Riley, Oregon St is like 1-7 in non-conference road games and 5 of the losses have been blowouts.

Oregon State isn't very good this year. They were decent the past two years. This year, not so much.

Also take Oregon and the points. SC will probably win an ugly, sloppy game but the Ducks will cover and it will be down to the wire....everyone expects USC to come out like gangbusters, doesn't usually happen unless that team is well-coached which USC isn't.

Last year after Stanford, USC followed it up with barely beating Arizona at home. Game was so unimpressive SC dropped in the polls from 10 to 13 despite winning the game.

The only reason I'm taking SC to win Saturday is because the game is at the Coliseum.
