where to sit in NEZ

What are your opinions regarding sitting in the NEZ chairbacks? It appears to run from section 13 to 19 running west to east. What offers the best sightlines? What is best in terms of the sun (in your eyes and overhead)?

My guess is that section 13 would have the most daytime shade due to the west upper deck.

I thought about that when submitting my NEZ chairback application, but Section 13 would put you right next to the visiting team fans. I wanted no part of that.

I sit about half way up in 15 and you get the shade at around half time for 2:30 games. This varies depending on how late in the season it is.

Does anyone know when its directly overhead?

Noon. but seriously, after daylight savings time change to fall, the sun will drop behing the west upperdeck about halftime, the majority of the north endzome will get shade about that time. september and early october games you are out of luck in the endzone until late in the game for a 2:30 kick off, 11:00 or noon, forget it.

I think the most reliable way is to check the webcam at that time. There will be a difference because of time of the year, but it'll give you a ballpark idea. Well, not today... it's pretty overcast, but you get my point...

hmmmm, that newest stadium diagram does not have the GAP labeled.

Ughh, why did my eye go straight to the GAP!?

The time doesn't change until November this year, so only the Baylor and A&M games would be affected by that.

The further east you go, the worse the sun is going to be, but the further west you go, the closer you are to visiting fans. I'd personally go with 13 or 14. The sight lines from the corners really aren't that bad. As a student, I once sat in what is now section 19 (field level). The sun was terrible (2:30 game), but the view of the field was actually better than I expected.
