Where Is Herman?

Well........back to the presser discussion,
I'm no coach and I don't know much about the inner workings of the game, but what i think I saw in that presser was a man who is completely at a loss for what happened in the Tech game. He seemed at a loss to explain what happened or how to fix it.

For a man who is making his kind of money, he needs to at least SEEM to understand some part of the problem and the fix for it.
i pretty much agree with this assessment. Look, none of us would want to face the press after an abomination like the Tech game. But sometimes candor can be the best approach. I would like to have seen Herman express what he was truly feeling, and what he should have been feeling. In other words, concede your massive disappointment and then shield the team by falling on the sword, and saying that YOU AND YOUR STAFF obviously did not do a good job of preparing the team for a game they should have won.

Ps.....**** off copper. I'm out. Site is a ******* joke!!! Mediate my balls in your ******* face *****.

Bevobff,

Damn.

I think many of us on HF were initially impressed with your posts, thoughts and insights. I believe you were genuinely welcomed and responded to in a positive way.

Since then something happened. I've read most all of your posts and you suddenly went off the rails dude. This site has many fans of all ages and types. Most are educated, many are UT grads, reasonable, very knowlegeable of UT football / sports and civil.

We have many posters that are unhappy, pissed off or angry about various things in the program the last few years...we frequently disagree. However, we generally remain respectful - we don't attack other posters that disagree with us, we don't throw f bombs and call names.

With all due respect you may be more happy over on Shaggy Bevo or some other site.

Thank you!

Is the coast clear?!? My mom banned me from this site til 1973 was grounded & sent to his room!! :tap:

Let's all have a party, a Horn Fans party. You guys really are great. Thanks for helping try to de-escalate that. This is a good site! There is a lot of knowledge and respect on HF. I really appreciate all the respect.

Hook Em!

The first step to rehab is admitting you have a problem. Herman take note.

The title of this thread is "where is Herman."

Obviously he is out intent bringing in a number 1 or 2 (at worst) recruiting class in the nation vs explaining meaningless bull **** that doesn't matter. What other program and coach is capable of doing what he's doing recruiting?

He came into a total mess. He will be in the playoffs in a few years.

The sky is not falling.

That is what I've been talking about! TH might, might be the next Nick Saban in CFB. I don't know and that is not a prediction. But I do have a very good feeling about him. Our talent in the last 4 years has been a dumpster fire, especially at O Line, and TE. It was beneath dumpster fire level at QB until the last two years. If TH retains the class he has built, this team will improve next year. He already has the deepest secondary in the 2018 class which will be a big need. Plus he is going after every JUCO OL he can find. If we win our bowl game (I hope we don't draw a good passing team), and the recruiting ranking is 1 or 2 as Galveston Horn said.....It will be good/better times in Austin next year and we will be in the playoff conversation in the years following. I hope TH does not disappoint. I know CS did, but those two coaches really are not very comparable. I think we win our bowl game if we don't draw a good passing team which is probably 50/50. But with Todd Orlando, we may just get 6 or 8 sacks and it wont matter about our secondary.

This is the funniest thing all week. Like I said the other day, you have to respect someone who is true to his code even when you don’t agree with it.

I hope 1973 was not the birth year of that guy because that would make him 44 years old (or about 30 years too old for his behavior)

Yea, check his profile out....he is 44, thus the “1973” handle. I had the same thought! He wreaked more havoc in 4 days than Matt Lauer did in 20 years!!

That guy did not step foot in a class room at UT. He probably scored an 800 on his SAT. Forget about him and move on but enjoy all those funny memories. I laughed a lot last night. So there is that...

I really, REALLY want Tom to succeed, but he sure seems like a lost soul during the presser.

He should know exactly why they lost; the offense. As for Sam's pick, he should have called him out on it. Why not? This is now big business. When you have your top three players walking on the team for money then you can speak your mind about player mistakes.
