Where Is Herman?

I haven't seen a link to a post game PC (was there one?), and there was not a PC yesterday. I assume Herman is hiding under the guise of recruiting before the dead period, but he needs to surface and explain why what didn't happen in the Tech game (other than the "they are kids" statement) and address what appears to be a real house cleaning (not that it isn't needed). The longer he puts this off, the worse it will be especially if aggy lands Fisher.

Post game presser is still on the HF home page.
 
Perhaps he sees the negative response and dissatisfaction on these forums and is going to take a advantage of the many good job openings.
Relax, I am kidding; but could we blame him?
 
Thanks Dion. Not many answers other than "I don't know". The sooner that he provides a clearer picture of what happened and what the corrections will be, the better off he will be.

The bright side is everyone seems to be prepared for an embarrassment in the bowl game so any positive signs will be a plus for the staff.

Really? I expect us to get the shittiest bowl available to us so we should win the damn thing. If we get the second shittiest bowl available, I might agree.
 
If the second shittiest is VT, I expect Fuente to use it as a showcase for "I'm better than Blacksburg, come get me outa here"
 
The Monday presser is not a Post-game presser but a Pre-game presser. With no game taking place this weekend, no Monday presser. Mack did it this way, Charlie did it this way and Tom does it this way.

When anyone asked me what I thought off the Herman hire, I always answered the same way. " I really hate to see Charlie go, and Herman BETTER be the right guy, because we can't fire another coach after three years."
 
I'm no coach and I don't know much about the inner workings of the game, but what i think I saw in that presser was a man who is completely at a loss for what happened in the Tech game. He seemed at a loss to explain what happened or how to fix it.

For a man who is making his kind of money, he needs to at least SEEM to understand some part of the problem and the fix for it.

I really, REALLY want Tom to succeed, but he sure seems like a lost soul during the presser.
 
And if he'd come in sat down and done a John Mackovic by looking assured and unfazed, we'd say "he doesn't even CARE that we lost."

None of us are trained in interpreting body language. We need to stop pretending like we are.

Here's the thing though: he's not that dumb. Even Strong, whom I bet would probably score around an 11 on the Wonderlic, isn't that dumb. He saw the same game as us, and if he's going to give his 10 cents about why we lost that game, then he's about to skewer about a dozen players and a couple more coaches. HC's can't do that. They can do that all they want behind closed doors.

As fans, we want to watch him call out the X's and O's stuff about why we won or lost, but even watching Longhorn Rewind on LHN, he lets a lot of pitches go by in regards to commenting on why something worked or not. We had a thread about it earlier this season. Part of it is that he doesn't want to give away scheme, but most of it is how he doesn't want individuals to perceive how he sees their flaws publicly.

Throwing on 3rd and 2 was a mistake, and we want him to say it was. But he's not about to alienate his QB and assistants when ultimately, it's his team and his call to make. I don't believe that he doesn't know why we lost or what we need to do to fix it. I think he just won't say why or how out loud to an audience.

He can't say to the public that his players suck!!!! He wants to but can't afford to. In addition to injuries and a freshman qb there isn't much you can say! 6-7, 5-7, 5-7 and now 6-6. Do the math. Fans need to face facts. In football you are what your record says you are. Our 11 are not as good as most teams 11......yet. He could throw most under the bus (it would be true) but will not do it. What happened against tech? Lmfao. Ummm.....our qb still throws to the other team and stays under pressure!!!! Omg this site sucks!!!! Lowest football iqs on planet. I'm sure most of y'all on here were big supporters of "firemackbrown.com."
Ps......Tom does NOT owe ANY fan an explanation. Learn the game and you wouldn't need a presser to get your answers. It clearly simple to see.....we suck!!!!!!!

Sorry.....I honestly didn't mean you personally. In general. Disagree on coaches. I saw things/especially on defense that were very encouraging. We couldn't even line up on defense the past 3 years. Need better players for sure. I'm not sold on beck but frosh qb two frosh rb and youth/injuries in the line.....I give them a pass this year.
