Saw a bunch of people talking about greatest teams. this site is awesome for that.... I ran a series of 5 games between these two teams...it is a neutral field and perfect weather

Game 1 : 20-12 UT
Game 2: 25-9 Miami
Game 3: 13-9 UT
Game 4: 34-17 Miami
Game 5: 47-21 UT

What does this mean? Pretty much they are exactly even...now I am going to try '04 USC vs. '05 UT


Game 1: 33-27 UT
Game 2: 27-24 UT
Game 3: 24-13 USC
Game 4: 15-3 UT
Game 5: 27-17 UT

This site is very very addicting...
 
The game against '04 USC would be as close as the one that actually happened. I honestly don't think we would beat '01 UM- nobody would.
 
i just did 05 horns 00 sooners. we won 34-16 on neutral field. but you know what pisses me off?

That Miami team was the best of the modern era. Hands down. They had NFL players up and down the rooster.

It is really amazing they went from fielding a team like that to the total garbage they presently roll out.
 
I also think the '01 Miami would beat '05 Texas....that Miami team was loaded....insanely...nothing to take away from '05 Texas though
 
I am shocked at how many people are pimping Miami. Yes they were very good but you act like Texas is chopped liver. Just go look at where the Texas 05 players are now. Most are starters in the NFL or have made the teams. Plus, who here really would take Dorsey over VY in a close game between the two. No way Miami drums 05 Texas. That being said it would be close and I'm going with VY.

97 Nebraska seems to consistently kick the **** out of 05 us on that site. One game had them winning 44-3. Even if i take the burnt orange glasses off, that is a bit unbelievable.
 
Texas '01 finished #1 in overall defense at regular season's end. Couple that with a senior Major, Ced in the backfield, the Big 3 at receiver, a healthy Bo Scaife, a monster O-line....yes that is a team that could have taken down Miami.
 
And, to follow up on that, 01 Miami would get rolled up by two Nebraska teams. 1971 NU was as good as there ever was in college ball, modern or not. The 71 OU team they beat in the GOTC could hang with any modern day team on any day, and they rolled a Bear Bryant coached team in the Orange Bowl that year.
 
How many times has Nebraska beat Miami........Once?

In matchup between a great Miami team and a great Nebraska team Im going to put my money on the Canes.

1995 Nebraska isn't really in these discussions becase these debates the past few days are based on teams that played after the BCS came into fruition which is after 1998.
