What will you do If TH Kneels?

I think it's a given that some of the players will kneel when the National Anthem will be played. So I have thought about this a lot. I bet that TH and company inculding CD have come up with a plan. Either no players will kneel, and I pray it's so, maybe a couple will or if a lot have said they will then I bet TH and the coaches will kneel in solidarity to deflect attention away from the players. Bill O'Brien the coach of the Texans without nuts has stated that he will kneel at every game with the players. If TH and the other coaches kneel then that will be over the line for me. Ok, Flame away! My family has a long history of defending America and some have lost their lives. I like the Longhorns but I love our great country more.
 
I haven't spent a single hot minute thinking about this, and I refuse to waste my time worrying about it too. If it happens it happens. If not, then not. Life goes on. Seems exceptionally pointless to get worked up over something that hasn't even happened yet.
 
I'm sure the team will not be on the field for either the anthem or "The Eyes" in an attempt to keep anger and divisiveness down, although the damage is done. If the pricks want to fan the flames, there's a couple of fires in California waiting for them.

SabreHorn, the only reason I posted this is the Big 12 conference call stated that the teams can be on the field when the National Anthem is played this season since the band will not be on the field. It will most likely be on the jubotron or from the stands because of covid.
 
Might be walking the dog or taking a piss at that time.
But I'll be paying attention at kickoff.

I would imagine that is the attitude of the overwhelming majority of watchers from home (it's certainly mine). I would also imagine there are very few fans who leap off the couch with their hand over their heart every time the national anthem is played before a game on TV. But some of those who don't care enough to do that will not hesitate to criticize others for caring enough about what they believe to take a knee and to take the heat for it. ;)

Dont kid yourselves, I suspect and anticipate ... ALL players if they are on the field, and coaches will kneel during Natonal Anthem. It will piss me off.... and THAT will please them all.
 
The university should ban police officers and state troopers from DKR. As well from security detail for TH on road trips. After all, they are the problem they are protesting right? Slippery slope in my opinion.
 
If they go out of their way to come out for the anthem and kneel, that is a direct slap in the face to our country. If they do that they can go straight to hell. If they don't respect the University enough to honor the school song, then they should portal and should transfer to a school they can be happy with.
If this comes about I will find another team to support until this POS coach and players are gone. Hopefully they will respect this country and this university !!!!!!

Hope Herman goes undefeated into the final four. That way USC and UCLA will come calling. UCLA lost almost $20 million last year, so doubtful they can afford him. Even if he made them a "name", they still wouldn't draw flies having to drive across town.

USC is another matter. They have the money and will pay. With a little change thrown in from friends in Texas, he might be outplaced.
 
Many of the supporters of these actions are mysteriously non-sponsors of HornFans, but large consumers. My guess is it’s the same for their sponsorship to The Foundation and University. The problem becomes when only non-sponsors are interested in the program. It will fail miserably. So show your support - at least sponsor HF.

Usually, the national anthem is performed by marching bands, but it may be different this season if there are no bands in attendance due to safety guidelines during the coronavirus pandemic.

“This year will be a little different because, on an institution-by-institution basis, we'll be making decisions based on how the anthem is performed. There's a fair amount of institutional latitude,” Bowlsby said.
Bowlsby also said that he believes players will continue to use their platforms to speak out.

"I think there'll be a lot of different recognitions of their profile and their concerns, and we -- within some latitude -- we encourage those things and want to make sure that student-athletes can find their voice and use their voice," Bowlsby said. "Yet we also have to manage it so that they're there or not significant disruptions of the contest as well."

They can do want they want and I can like it or not, our choices are just that our choices. If theirs piss me off enough I’ll finally say good bye when I cannot in good conscience ignore what I consider wrong. Do what you want, say what you will, but in my mind it is wrong to not stand for the anthem, just how I feel. If you feel differently ok, fine, but don’t begrudge me that I don’t like it.

There is your problem folks. Even Bowlsby is smart enough to know that kneeling will cause a loss of fans. The prudent thing to do is play the anthem without the players, AND provide some other avenue of expression. Instead he comes out with a bunch of bs double-talk that says nothing. Like Tom he is about the players with no respect for fans and financial contributors.

Bowslby is a worthless politician with the balls of a frog.

No sir. It’s okay for you to have your opinion, but not for me to have an opinion that’s it’s disrespectful to put a knee down during our National Anthem.
That song means a lot to me as does the flag, yet someone I’m a racist for respecting that flag and being pissed at those who don’t.

Not sure what all that was about. The "wish" I was referring to was the wish: "Geez come on man just let it go." I didn't call you a racist--don't know you enough to draw any conclusions.

Hey Einstein, you can’t see the difference between me not jumping to my feet at home and someone kneeling in front of a tv audience?
