The fact they let KU celebrate on the 50 says is all. They don't give a damn. I hope 40 do transfer, I can't stand the lack of pride.
Texas will be BY FAR the most liberal school in the SEC. If someone really believes this is keeping certain groups from coming to play for Texas then the rest of the SEC would be filled with nothing but farm raised white boys
We lose to WVU is what happens now.
There is a real irony in play here. The rest of the SEC team players are majority black, as everyone knows, but somehow there is no demoralizing racist influence like at Texas
And Alabama had some serious racist issues in their history. But they seem to have gotten past that.
I think its because EOT fuels the problem.
Or am i off the mark here and its bad coaching or unmotivated players.
You would think the players would play to the best of their ability to make it to the NFL.
Major, you nailed this. The change in attitude and culture may take a while, and it may require flushing some guys out of the system - but it is necessary. We need to give Sark a chance to instill his culture and his recruits. If that requires sucking it up for another year, so be it.IMO the issue is a "me first" sense of entitlement that was nurtured by the previous coach. And that entitlement is actively being confronted/removed by Coach Sark, Coach Davis, etc.
We need to give Sark a chance to instill his culture and his recruits.
Mega agree..All I know is that no one should take over from a fired coach and go severely backwards. Most of y’all expected a 9 win year or more because Herman was 7-3….Now the narrative is blame Herman. These guys are looking worse than Strong.Pompoms, your reference to the EOT controversy as being the basis of our problem reminds me of a line from the movie, As Good As It Gets: “I’m drowning here and you’re describing the water.”
If there are any lingering effects from the controversy, those players need to be gone, yesterday.
On to culture. My gosh. We heard that culture was a big problem when Mack was canned, and Charlie was going to change it. True, he dumped a bunch of players. How did that work out?
Then Charlie was canned and thin skinned Mensa Boy was going to change the culture. To his credit, he did. He made it worse. Now they say that Sark needs to change the culture. Enough already.
Either you can coach and scheme them up, or you can’t. Riley can. Gundy can. Campbell can, and the guy at Baylor apparently can.
Perhaps Sark and Kwiatkowski can, but so far we have seen nothing to support that expectation.
he was not humbled by his fall from grace via alcoholism at his prior stops. That kind of thing forces a man to grow, and it is my hope the humility will make him a better coach than he was before. So basically we're stuck with just hoping that it'll be different for him here than elsewhere because
A lot of people calling for a bottom here.I'm sure this impressed all the recruits that were there for the game...
GOOD GAWSH ALMIGHTY, this program hit rock bottom in every way.
I agree and understand what you are trying to say, however, if there is few of both out of 100+ players, then there must be a third type, no???I think it's a Catch-22 for Sark. It seems like there are 2 types of players on this team. 1. Have the talent to be a difference maker, but won't do what they're supposed to do in a game. 2. Those that will do they're job as assigned, but don't have the talent to make a difference.
There seems to be very few of both, and that isn't changing soon.
Longhorn flat circle fan cycle of recruiting;
1. Overly excited about getting 5 star players.
2. When they turn out to be busts or soft, say we need to get "hard workers"-3 stars.
3. When the 3 stars get crushed by a team with superior talent, we need to recruit better.
If they do, the clowning their players will perform on us will be hard to take.
I know many of you don't want to consider this but if we want to be a playoff contender every season we may have to let "the eyes of Texas" go. I know the EOT controversy is thought of as being petty but some don't think that way. There are outside groups getting into the player's ears sucking the motivation away from them. That poison will always be there.
Perhaps we can recruit so well and achieve success and get a wave of momentum to keep the poison at bay but that seems unlikely. The song may have to go and that would be another example of a very small minority dictating policy over the majority.
It's too bad because without that poisonous culture influence i believe we would thrive as a team.
Bad or ineffectual coaching is not the the real issue here its the crybaby culture.
Well, when has KU ever shown any class in any sports? Besides there's very few people that show sportsmanship any longer. It's at all levels of sports, I watch a lot of high school football and Team A is beating Team B, 49-0, 2 mins before halftime and get the ball back, run their 2 min offense to try to make it 56-0. How does Team B respond when they are given an opportunity to beat said Team A in the future? Team B will probably stomp on logo at 50 yard line after finally beating Team A. I'm not saying Texas has ran up the score on teams in the past, it's just we are still hated by all other big 12 rivals, especially now we are leaving this crappy conference.Texas rarely has more than a few 5* players.
At this point, it's not about the # of stars on the recruiting ranking. It's much deeper.
What can be worse than letting a walk-on dance on the Horns logo with Horns down?
The fact that this team allowed it happen is beyond embarrassing - no pride.
All-time low.
After the 2pt conversion, walk-on dude sprinted to the logo and it showed the HC running and yelling, probably to prevent it. But did any Longhorn player prevent it? Sad.
I wasn't there but from what I can tell, that's what happened.
Something has to be fueling the negativity and the lack of pride and effort.Song problem began in earnest in 2020.
Some football records :
2014 - 6-7
2015 - 5-7
2016 - 5-7
How did you decide the EoT is the problem?
A lot of people calling for a bottom here.
..probably means it has further to fall
I respectfully disagree.Texas rarely has more than a few 5* players.

My wife is friends with a UT employee who says her job this week is to give away unsold tickets so that the stadium isn’t half empty for K-State. How pathetic is that?
.Wasn't pooping you Clean just our overall situation. Wonder what seats they are willing to give away? Have to confess prime club seats would kinda irritate me, well unless it went to a vet or active service member, ok first responders would be ok too.
