There are many who are so coward they fall back on strawmen as a way to broadcast their own beliefs.

Obama, while nothing great, is dealing the hand he was dealt by GWB, and trying to navigate an incredibly ideologicall-driven Congress.

he had a supermajority for 2 years to get anything passed that he wanted and he got a lot done. lots of new taxes. he got the healthcare law passed based upon lies that it was debt neutral. he got bank reform passed based upon the lies that it would prevent another banking crisis and was to help the consumer. his apology tour was supposed to heal those bad feelings toward the US. he gave a ton of money and signed executive orders to save union worker jobs. i do not recall him doing anything to help the guy on main street in 3 years when he had complete power to do so. at no time did he do anything other than pr stunts to invite some green energy and tech ceo's to the white house for job summits without ever addressing the real cause of job loss in this country...labor intensive and manufacturing jobs and those that hire them. these are the main group struggling and out of work. of course he has his scapegoats..."the evil corporations have a ton a money and will not share it" is his message. the reality of corporate accounting and economics is not something he is familiar with unless he is back in his old days of extorting corporations for money during his community organizing days...the idea that a more corporate friendly message from the whitehouse and congress might help things never made it to the mainstream. dont take my word for it, read any newletter from a chamber of commerce group if you want to get an idea of the new laws passed that are going to affect corporations in 2012. Corporations have been saving their money for the changes that are taking affect. unless changes are made, 9% unemployment will be the new norm in this country. it may drop some but that will only be because those out of work are reclassified as permanently out of work and no longer looking.
 
Bush is working on his charity and is enjoying staying out of the spotlight. He's not going to glory hog around like carter or Clinton.
