What, no dubya endorsement?

Since GHBush endorsed Romney it got me wondering.

Why aren't the republican candidates courting W's endorsement?

I mean since cutting the taxes for the rich worked so well during his administration creating jobs and that is what republicans are all about?

uni
those facts are staggering, seeing how much Bush spent is bad enough but seeing what BO is doing is horrific. is there anyone who thinks Bo's out of control spending can continue?

On the OT. is there a link that proves no candidate has sought W's support/

based on Bush's position of not speaking out against BO and of staying in the background why would an fool think W would endorse anyone right now?

Exactly.
Republicans are the last people that want to talk about dubya.
I wonder why that is?
Could it be that all they have to offer is the same **** that failed spectacularly not so long ago?

Uninformed,

I think your sourse needs to be updated. Currently Obama now has us over $15 Trillion.

BHO = Worst President EVER!

Better question: After Obama is voted out will he become another Jimmy Carter- a shamed prez not to be heard of again until he's suffering from dementia.

GWB? He wasn't hard line enough with Barney Frank types & spent too much b/c of it. GWB s/ have stood the hard line on the 9/11/03 NY Times story and said "no" to the more liberal types that had their hands in the pie pan (pun). That's not to say repubs weren't helping theirownselves out either.

Lol. The above posts show just how much the GOP is in shambles. Here's something to chew on: maybe the misguided war in Iraq had something to do with spending too much?

here is an NPR reporting on a weekly Standard article from jan 2011 that points out the differences which have only grown in the past 11 months. as it explains it attributes a part of 09 to Bush and then attributes the over 650 billion that obama presided over in 09 to obama.

here from article
"The fact that Obama's deficits have, by any standard, more than tripled those of the Great Depression, cannot convincingly be blamed on the current recession.

but there is much more in articleThe Link

and to the people who want to blame the wars for the huge debt Bo is wracking up here is a WaPo article which provides enough fact to render such a claim ridiculous. Yes they cost us money but here is the salient quote from article
"Costly as the wars have been, they’re not what’s standing between us and a balanced budget."The Link

If all you Bush haters think Bush spent too much money ( and he did)think how stupid you look supporting Bo for tripling our debt.

How is the war in Afghanistan "even more misguided"? How is it even "misguided"?

If you choose to answer the first question (more misguided) please explain how it is more misguided than than the war in Iraq.

Sometimes I don't think y'all really pay close attention to current events. Or know how to frame appropriate questions.

If anyone wants to recalculate the numbers, it will make Obama seem even worse:

The U.S. government posted its third consecutive annual budget deficit in excess of $1 trillion in the fiscal year ended Sept. 30.

The shortfall registered $1.3 trillion in fiscal 2011, up from $1.29 trillion in 2010 and the second-highest on record, according to Treasury Department data issued today in Washington. It reached $1.42 trillion in 2009, the highest ever. The September gap widened to $64.6 billion from $34.6 billion in the same month last year.

I have yet to hear a well articulated mission objective. Was it to get OBL? Nation build? Fight the Taliban? How was success defined? It wasn't.

How does that make it "more misguided"?

I don't think you're prepared to engage in a critical examination, a relative comparison, between the war in Afghanistan and the war in Iraq. So I'd just as soon stop while you're behind.

I'm not necessarily a fan of our engagement in Afghanistan, but I'm not calling it "more misguided" than our venture into Iraq.

I was about to post how much more money than both bushes and reagan have spent but then the odometer flipped over yet again. I'll get back to you when I get them recalculated.

Sincerely

Bhagdad Repob

I expect that GWB will endorse the nominee. Why does BO care? Cheerleading Obama getting to you a bit?

By they way, has Obama ever signed a national budget?

Republicans are the last people that want to talk about dubya.
I wonder why that is?

what i love is that dubya is blamed for the economic crash that occurred because of legislation passed before he took office, our economy did pretty well considering our economic center was crippled a few months into his administration.

While GWB was not the best President in history, he is light years better than what we currently have.

It must have been difficult for you to admit that The Deciderer isn't the greatest.

GWB was a buffoon, coddled and manipulated by both the devious and the sycophant. Obama, while nothing great, is dealing the hand he was dealt by GWB, and trying to navigate an incredibly ideologicall-driven Congress.
