What is wrong with the 3rd Qtr

The last 2 games, NO has come out on fire in the third and SA seems so flat. Tonight, they got outscored in the 3rd by 18, the 1st, 2nd and 4th quarters were played pretty evenly. I hope Pop can figure something out quick or this will be an even more embarassing exit than mavs.

I don't care who they're playing, getting swept out of the playoffs in the second round as the defending champs is embarassing.

I've been a Spurs fans since Terry Cummings was brought in to protect the 1990 Rookie of the Year.

I predicted the Hornets would beat SA this year. Not because the Spurs suddenly suck ***, but because the Hornets are simply a young, talented and balanced team coming on at the right time.

Most Spurs fans I know had no idea who the Hornets were, let alone how they managed to capture the #2 seed. Never seen them on TV, so they must be bad.

So naturally, we're gonna steamroll this team that no one has heard of. Most couldn't name any of their players or coaches.

Well, they know them now.

I agree with a lot of what you're saying LongestHorn, but I'm not ready to give up yet. NO is young and a bad matchup for the Spurs.

I do feel like we can win the next two games if we play 4 quarters. I also think the Hornets will be tested with a little bit of Spurs home-cooking, and I'm interested in how they react. If they let it get in their heads, the Spurs will get the next two. If not, the series could be over in 5.

The funny thing is the Spurs match up much better against the Lakers than the Hornet will against the Lakers, but as we're seeing the Hornets are an absolute matchup nightmare for the Spurs.

Let's see how well the Hornets play when they don't get fouls called on every offensive drive.

The series will head back to NO tied 2-2.

The Hornest beat the **** out of the Spurs without the refs help in the first two games. Its ok to admit it.

My theory was proven 100% correct.

Series is tied 2-2, going back to NO.

As you could see, when the Spurs are allowed to play defense, and the whistle doesn't blow every time a Hornet drives the lane, the Spurs are clearly the better team.

This reminds me of the Lakers-Spurs series of 2001-2002. When the refs put the whistle away, the Spurs ALWAYS play better.
