This is her answer to a question by the media after the loss to OSU in the Big 12 Tournament:
Q. Coach how tough is this loss for you and what do you guys have to get fixed for the NCAA's.
Coach G. It's a really difficult loss. I told the team after the game, if we had played our best basketball, I would be patting them on the back win or lose. But when we watch the videotape, they're going to see that there were so many little things that we did not do and we could have done and we would still be playing in the tournament. When you know you can win that makes it more difficult.much
Some coaches would be happy that their #7 seed team was just 1 basket away from advancing over a #4 seed. But she expects and demands success, regardless and a 1 point loss to a higher seeded team isn't enough for her.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching the game on TV last night..not because we lost but because of what I saw in the team. ..the fire, the DEFENSE, the effort. Hook Em !
