I frankly believe Muschamp has more than proven himself . I cannot imagine Mack bringing him to Austin if there was any kind of significant philosophical difference on D. Hell, after that disgusting '07 season on defense, Mack is probably relieved he has a proven A Team coach that will make the changes that must be made - even if the approach and changes might be a little different that what he might do. Muschamp seems to be the exact Rx this team needs.

There is a new Sheriff in town folks - there are going to be some changes and some very pleasant surprises!

Chizik's problem was that he was philosophically against adjusting the defense to the offense sets. Akina's problem seemed to be that he just couldn't get the adjustments on the field soon enough for them to make a difference. How many times did we have guys running on and off the field during the snap count last year. He just doesn't think quickly enough to call the plays.
