Westerman = the new 19th commit!!!!

yeah, this is almost too good to be true.

the tea leaves have been saying good things for us with the westerman family, but i had no idea it was imminent.

offensive linemen have always been my number one interest, but i swear i can't tell the good ones. i was sick when stephen good didn't come, so i don't have a lot of faith in my impressions there. that said, i don't recall a better looking tackle prospect on film.

as i said on the hegarty thread, this doesn't begin to change my interest in him. really hope he comes, too.

can you envision an o-line forged with the talent we've brought in with this class and the previous one if hegarty chooses us? a game-changing line is a sight to behold. i mean, they just take over. i want that.

hey, clendon. the story didn't come through free. and, yes, i am interested.

we appreciate what you guys bring to this place.

you know, generally speaking, viewing a video of an offensive lineman without pads can be a little difficult in determining how good he is. not this one. guy's a freaking beast!! i'm very impressed

Thanks for the heads up, Glenn. Sorry about that. It should be free now.

BTW, Westerman is also one of three Longhorn pledges already chosen as 2011 Under Armour All-Americans (along with Quandre Diggs and Desmond Jackson). It's almost certain that several more of the Texas commits will be chosen over the next several months.

I wonder if one Arizona Cardinal (aka Mr. Sendlein) had any help in this? Lyle played HS football in AZ.

However it came about.

As good as these o-linemen potentially are, imagine how much better they'll become by practicing every day against UT's d-linemen. Real games will be a relief for them.
