Why didn't Millwood not make the All Star team? I thought he was certainly deserving. Have they named the extra players that get voted on for the final spot on the team?

While I wished Kinsler had won the vote, he really is not deserving this year, and of course Hamilton does not deserve to be on the team. Micheal, yes.

What a great 6-game stretch to take 5 from the Angels/Rays. Both of those teams had been playing great ball, so to win so convincingly is a great sign to those teams that we're not going anywhere.

That said, it only further frustrates me how we were playing the Giants, Padres and Blue Jays. We would have a nice cushion on the Halos heading into this road trip if we'd even hit just a little bit better over that stretch.

Millwood not making the AS Game over Wakefield is a joke. Career achievement award, my ***! His reward was winning the World Series with Boston. The AS Game should be for the best players in a given year, which Milly clearly has been this season.
 
Well, the wheels are coming off the wagon tonight vs. LAA as Millwood is getting torched with 9 runs so far in the 5th and the Angles are still at bat with a man on base. The Rangers bats better come alive tonight fast if they hope to salvage this game

HHD - yuk, this one is over ... Angles 9-4. Deadwood gave up far too many runs for the Ranger bats to overcome. It was good to see Hamilton back in the lineup....

Rangers need to get back in the W column Tuesday night.
 
My daughetr still has a crush on T-Square. Anyone here know if we can get games on Uverse so she can watch if/when he plays?
 
I'm tired as hell of Andruw Jones having weak AB's and then smiling about them as he carries the lumber back to the dugout. With Josh back he would not be my primary DH. In tonight's lineup Nellie Cruz would be the DH. They can't get rid of A.Jones soon enough for me. Hrrrrmph.

I admit, I don't follow the Rangers much at all, but WTF was Salta-whatchamacallit doing swinging in his first at bat? Sounds like he made up for it later in the game, but that first at bat made me think "And why is he starting? Surely T looks better than that!"
 
It was the pop up Salty dropped with 2 outs in the 6th that made it look like the Angels were going to get right back in it that had me wondering where Tea was. I think whoever it was that popped it up eventually scored, although it wasn't Salty's fault Ron took out a hot pitcher and replaced him with a guy who could spell strike.
 
Actually Rex, you partially answered the next question I was going to ask...is there a "controversey" over the catchers? It appears Salty is younger than T whcih to a recent observer like me means possibly less experience, and their BAs are very similiar. I read that the Manager wants to start T a little more often, I assume to maybe get some competition out there?

Just curious as my 10 yo now has me watching Ranger games in the hope that we see Taylor. I must be raising her right!

I'm still jealous of her as she got a ball signed by Taylor and Adrian right after they had the no-no a couple years back.
 
Woooo hooooo - Ranger bats are indeed alive as the good guys have gone up 4-0 on the Angles in the 3rd. Horn69's Ranger fav Andruw Jones has hit 2 HR's in the game. HHD glad your back in the saddle tonight with the rest of the Ranger zealots.

Worsterman, please note that I am doing my part and cheering tonight for the Rangers. I guess with all the Hornfans supporters tonight, we have brought the mojo up to par. It will be interesting to see how the Angels approach Andruw next time he comes to the plate...

Boyzo, I am ashamed to admit this, but I had to go to bed early last night!! So I missed Taylor's HR (and Andruw's third as well.)

I was dog-tired from lack of sleep (hot flashes and night sweats!) and when I left the good guys were up by 4, and Padilla was throwing well, and I knew all y'all were watching, so I felt like it was in good hands. And it was.

I tell ya ... perimenopause is a *****! And the Angels are the Rangers *****!!

Andruw w/4 homers in 6 at-bats. Wow. Is Padilla ok? He left early, but it didn't look serious.
 
I can watch the entire game tonight because I don't work on Fridays. Staying up late is no problem, so I will be watching with all my mojo.
