. . . but I could barely hear you. The signal for 1530AM is still pretty crappy, but I could definitely hear Erin Hogan through the static. Hopefully the station can improve the signal this week.

Still a bad signal. Reportedly the station has been apologizing for the crappy signal and indicating that the new tower will be fully up and running next week.

I came from NW Austin all the way into town and the signal was fine all morning...

Not at 6:30 in the am coming down 183 is isn't. I think they are still under the FCC control to reduce power until sunrise

i've been listening to 1300 since moving here in 95. not anymore. Bucky is great, but like the poster said above I like sports talk. Hogan is the man. It took me a whle, but I really enjoy Colin as well. Now they need to go get Bucky just like they have everyone else 1530 has wanted.

FCC rules aren't "fixed". Almost all AM stations power down at night to prevent them interfering with each other at that time. It's easier to catch a signal at night, which is why one can often hear 870 from New Orleans or 1200 from San Antonio at night but not during the day.

He and Rosenthal are a good pairing. I'll listen more as college football nears, but it's a hell of a start.

I get a bad feeling for Bucky. He's got a likable personality that is lost amid the insufferable blather of Bob Cole (who I never knew was so bad until trying the new show a few times). If this pairing doesn't work for Bucky, he may find himself odd man out unless they give him the afternoon drive and dump the largely worthless AJ.

By the time Bucky's contract comes up. I think Hogan and Rosenthal will be an established team. Sad if Bucky falls through the cracks.

But congrats to Hogan. I didn't much like him when I first heard him in the afternoons, but he has developed a good radio personality. He seems to be living his dream, and that's a good story.
