so, there's still a legit. chance of Duke getting a #1 seed in front of us? Which would mean they would probably give us a #2 in a good spot, Houston. Especially if we go 3-1 the rest of the conference schedule and get to the champ. game vs. Duke winning out?

I don't think the committee will give any credence to Duke being one spot higher than us in the RPI. We should pass Duke in the human polls, and those are more likely the way the seeding committee will see things.

A strange thought just occurred. What if the committee gave Duke the last #1 seed and sent them to Houston, where we would be the #2. What a game that could be!

Regarding Duke, there's alot of games to be played between now and then as it concerns the #1 seed. Duke and UNC will, hypothetically play each other two more times. Once in the regular season and once in the ACC Tourney.
Barring a total collapse, I see TN and Memphis as two of the four # 1's. The winner of the ACC (Duke or UNC) as another #1. And, either TX or KU as the 4th.
Again, alot could happen between then and now. If we lose to KSU, we may drop to a #2 even if we win the Big 12 Tourney as UCLA could pass us.
Regardless, a 2 is almost as good as a 1 and sometimes better - depending on the bracket.

With KSU and A&M losing, there's little chance KU will beat a ranked team before the Big XII Tourney. Even if they get to the tournament finals, there's little chance they can get a #1 seed now. Before yesterday, they could hold on to the fact that while they didn't have any great wins their two losses were on the road against good teams. Now that's gone.

Uh...Texas played them?

For all the teams with letters in parentheses beside their name, those are teams Texas played. A "W" inside the parentheses indicates a win, an "L" indicates a loss.
