Week 7 Prediction Thread...Mullet Redemption...Texas vs OSU

Texas Football: The Mullet Strikes Back; unlike the second movie in the Star Wars franchise, where the Empire won the day but the Rebellion lived to fight another day.

The Longhorns will return to action in a triumph victory even though the D is our biggest weakness our O is the strength of the team. The D will get enough drives stopped in order for our O to save the day.

OSU is way overrated. Other than Baylor they've barely beaten mediocre teams and we don't really know much about Baylor either.

I trust Sark will have them primed to score and if coach K is worth his salt he'll scheme this better. OSU's offense is mediocre and we can manage that.

I need to revise my prediction.

I've seen the line through the week, watching the line come down from the opening -6 to seeing some -4.5's out there a moment ago and I briefly looked at where money was flowing. Sadly, I have also seen the Texas secondary answer the past few weeks to TOAST. And badly burnt at that.

Sark knows he has to feed the bell cow and hopefully realizes that Roschon ALSO needs 10-15 touches a game. Casey will lose a go-to with Whittington being out but still collects 250 yards or so through the air.

Okie Lite does not throw for a ton of yards per game but they still average ~8 yards per attempt. Texas seems to allow previously unheralded QB's to put up career numbers, something not unique to this season. Okie Lite also doesn't give up many sacks, with 7 in the five games. TD/INT is a 7:5 ratio. Their starter also has no compunction about running, with close to 50 rushes this year...it will be imperative that Texas D keep a spy in place and that the rushers contain so that the pocket doesn't have a huge gap parting like the Red Sea.

I'll be honest...if I were in Vegas this week, I would probably take the 4.5 or 5 points if I could get it. This game comes down to Dicker with about three ticks on the clock.

So far, Sark and the team have shown they can learn from losses. JWhitts absence will hurt ....but I think this is a good team and am betting we will be a solid team on the season...Offensive line to be shuffled again.
Nonetheless...I think we pick ourselves up here...osu is plenty flawed.
Sanders gets rattled like Rattler...but no one to turn to...
