Week 10 Prediction Thread: Texas vs. Kansas St...Here Kitty Kitty

I don't expect KSU to be a pushover, but keep in mind similar to BYU, KSU has beaten exactly 1 team with a winning record...Troy. The main difference is they have been smashing teams lately where BYU was just barely beating them.

I haven't been playing the prediction game this year so I won't give a score, but I think we win. The 16.5 point line seems high to me though. I think we win by 10ish.
 
I was wondering about the last time we lost to them. They had our number for a while. We currently have a 6-game winning streak going, last loss being in 2016.

I fully expect them to play very well this Saturday. We’d better be on our game and take points when we can get them.

I went down a rabbit hole with a little more research into our history with K-State.

I’d forgotten we crushed them 69-31 in 2020 in Manhattan with Sam, freshman Bijan, Roschon, Epps, JWhitt. Deuce Vaughan was a bad *** for them.

2011 game in Austin was when we pounded their QB running game. However we were inept on offense and KSU scored on a drive late in 2nd half to win. Very disappointing loss
 
I also noticed Mich -3.5 vs Nebraska

What do they know i don't?
To me that's a 17 point game and 45 points.
No way spygate affects the spread this much.
 
Even if I think we're going to lose, I pick Texas. But this game concerns me. Now that they have tape on Murphy I expect a very good game plan for KSU to harass him. Our OL better step up. KSU ranks highly in the Big XII stat race on both offense and defense, albeit vs a fairly easy schedule. I see Murphy struggling.

KSU has been on a roll lately and played far better against our only common opponent. Based on Sagarin's predictor, we should be less than a 1-point favorite.

This one will be tough. The defense will have to be very sharp to contain KSU's offense. And I suspect KSU will have a very good defensive game plan. Closer game than we all would like.

I hope a combination of their blowout of uh and our struggle in that game softens them up a bit. Their defense is giving up an avg of 235 yds passing a game, total yds 344. Hopefully our big bodied guys up front can take advantage of their light DEs and LBs.
