Week 10 Prediction Thread...Take Shelter...Texas vs Iowa St

You ought to give Iowa a try!

But not this week.

Longhorns: 37
Cyclones or Tornadoes or Cardinals or Redbirds or whatever the **** they are: 35

Three straight 2nd half collapses, Bijan just doesn't have the line to set him free, we only have one reliable receiver, cold night in Ames? I have a bad feeling about this one, like the wheels come completely off this week.

Texas 13
ISU 38

We’re in an inexplicable tailspin. No way we should be 4-4, have been blown out by AR, and collapsed in the last three. It’s not talent. It’s coaching, a lack of leadership, and a key, missing piece: The player who refuses to allow his team to lose. Who is that?

If we are going to beat ISU, a whole bunch of people — players and coaches — will need to step up. Until I see it happen, I have to assume that it won’t:

Ames - 35
Austin - 27

I would have picked UT over ISU this year for sure...I think we are a better team than the ones they barely ecked out victories over the last two years, and I am not sure they are as good or any better. (I do not expect their offense to do TOO much against our D...unless the guys lay down for the year). Yet who knows which offense or for how long ours will show up. WVU scored plenty on 'em.
The way our season has played out must certainly weigh in that locker room and this is tough timing for a trip to Ames.

Can't pick for us...but see enough good that I can't pick against, so...

Extremely fast circular winds 30
Big Cows with Large Horns. 30
You sure you don't want to add a point to Texas?

Surely the same thing that has happened the past three games will rear its ugly head again this week?!?

Texas - 33
ISU - 30

It could especially if the final score is 30 - 28.

If your post was supposed to be pure sarcasm and not a real prediction then I will not record it.
Let me ask you this...
Does predicting the winner actually matter....other than effect on point differential obviously or a tiebreaker scenario?
I mean, there is no inherent bonus for picking the winner..it is pure point differential based?

I guess it doesn't matter that much. I just didn't know if that was a real prediction since you can't have a tie.

This doesn't seem like a good matchup for us. They're pretty much averaging what
we're giving up and it's hard to win football games when you allow 200+ rushing
yards every week.

Texas 30
ISU 38

UT Rush Defense Ranking = 118 (out of 130)
UT Total Defense Ranking = 106 (out of 130)

This is not a winning recipe. These are Mackovic type numbers.
