We Won the TCU Series!!!

Other than the sac bunt, the top guys in avg have safely reached base. Now we rely on the bottom half of the lineup to push runs across. Gasparino up.

Gasparino looks meh on the stats sheet, but he’s batting 0.300+ in conference play. He’s getting stronger at the plate.

Galvan hits a routine ground ball to end the inning. End of the 5th.

And not to beat a dead horse, promise this is the last reference but it's important. Kennedy being in the 2 hole effectively eliminated our ability to score in both of these innings because the top of the line up wasn't together, it got split up by Kennedy's lower avg. He's is more likely to get out than the top of the lineup and it came to fruition in these last two innings. Had the top of the lineup been together like they should have, we would more than likely scored in the 4th and maybe multiple runs. But as it stands now, zero runs.

TCU pitcher Tole at 80 pitches.
Grubbs matching Tole at this point and has looked sharp for most of the game.

dang it. Belyeu makes a poor decision on a line drive to right and the ball goes to the fence. runner on third with 1 out.

Belyeu tried to dive forward to catch the ball in the air but can't come up with it and it bounces over him. Poor decision. Mound visit here, Pierce likely discussing what they are going to do with the runner on 3rd. Looks like he's going to try and cut off the run at home. (runs for us have been hard to come by)

Kennedy error, ball goes under his glove, could have held the runner and got the out. Belyeu's error comes back to haunt us. 2-0 TCU.

Grubbs has done his job. 91 pitches, 6 innings complete. has kept us in the game. Up to the bullpen and the offense now to get it done.

Neither Belyeu nor Kennedy were charged with errors. Belyeu’s mental mistake turned a single into a triple. Kennedy’s was just a tough play. There are no errors on the scoreboard

Base hit up the gut. That’s it for Grubbs.

Good job.

Only 2 runs surrendered (around a 3 run per game pace). If all our starters did that, we’d be in a good place.

Unfortunately, the bats haven’t produced any runs for us. No run support yet.
