We open -9 at KSU

I think we'll win but it'll be closer than it should be. KSU likes to use misdirection runs on offense and pretty much every team (even USC in the 1st quarter) used it well against us.

What say ye?

Is Dalton the kid that ran all over us last year?

That seems to be the formula for beating a Todd Orlando defense. An Athletic QB that likes to take off.

Delton may play the game of his life against the Horns but he sounds pretty mediocre to me.... just the kind of QB our D could really confuse, harass and really get after.

I don't fear this kid or change... PW picked the lesser of two evils.

The D will stuff their rushing game and The Wolf will get one pick on Delton!

If Dalton ran all over us last year, that may be why PW picked him to start (over the objection of his staff).

The [K-State] Wildcats are 2-2 and have been blown out by both ranked opponents they’ve faced.
Good yardstick to measure Texas by. A blow-out by Texas will be another step in solidifying what this team really is. A non-blowout win will be a win, and we will have to wait for the outcome of the ou game to have a real feel for this Texas team. Some will try to shake off a Texas loss as "well it was K-State in Manhattan". No; a loss to this K-State team will be a real reflection of the state of the team and, more importantly, the coaching staff.

DElton took over the game last year once he got in the game. He ran for 2 scores and almost 80 yards after he came in for Ertz.
Snyder also got pissed because Thompson audibled into an option play on a play where they only needed inches, against WVU. Thompson is in Snyder's dog house right now.

Did you guys read the article?
I do believe things aren't that great in KStstate right now...and the Purple Wiz is losing his mojo.
Some of you guys are under his spell. Times about up and I think when it becomes more apparent, we will begin to see another side of him.
Remember, there was a story last year also that called into question his state of mind/judgement.
I am not questioning him from a mental standpoint at all (though it may be in the cards)..just believe time is running out on the PWhiz show and a good beat down up there by UT won't suprise me a bit. If so, it will be another statement and breaking of trends for this team...cause you know the Cats are hungry.

If you believe that this team is trending up, has its head on straight and will go into the game taking it seriously, then you have to believe Texas covers.

I think they will. Don't know if they can blow them out, but a 2-TD win is reasonable. But they have to show they can go on the road and take care of business.

Again I will say

Texas is by far the better team, but the better team doesn’t always win.

Tom Herman has a history of winning big games and losing against inferior opponents

Texas is ranked for the first time
Texas is coming off an emotional win
It’s the week before blOwU week
It’s on the road in a place Texas hasn’t won since 2002

one game at a time, sweet Jesus....I know it'll disappoint you, AB, if Texas wins without Shane again, but try not to be too disheartened if they do....

:lmao:I thought, and continue to think that Shane is a better passer and with the right offense, a better QB than Sam. But Sam fits Herman's offense better than Shane does. And the team is winning with him at the helm, which for me, is what counts. Don't know about Austin_Bill, though.

Surely they are not in full pad contact Wed and Thur.
Doesn't have to be in full pads. For example, he could have fallen and had a whiplash type head injury. That is what happened to me when I fell after slipping on ice and hitting my head on concrete.

It seems to me that a lot of the concussions do occur as a result of ground contact. No data to support that feeling, just perception.
