We host

Must admit half of me wanted the team to play away based on how they play away from home.

So only 3 Top 8 seeds made it through? Parity is alive and well in college baseball I see.

Nice!

I find the most gratifying part of the Super Regional slate is that only two SEC teams made it through, whereas four Big12 teams are still playing.

Boo-yah!

I will be on a mission trip in Mexico, so you'd better cheer long and loud for me, boyzo!

Ticket information? A lot of people, no names mentioned, did not order regional or super regional tickets, believing the events would not be held in Austin.
I will be trying UT at 9 a.m.

So excited that I get to watch UT baseball one more time this year. So sad that the games are 3:00, 1:00 & 1:00 right in the heat of the day. Thank you NCAA and TV. Lots and lots of water.

Hope Augie lets them swing away at home like he does on road. I def notice a shortened swing at home to accommodate the deeper park. Just let em swing naturally and with power. They hit better that way. A 50 point greater average on road in NOT coincidence.

I eventually got tickets from the Texas Sports site. I had a lot of trouble finding information because it kept saying no info available for baseball tickets.
I finally figured out the problem: if you sign in as a foundation member, you get the no information page for baseball. If you sign in as a member of the general public, you get the link to order super regional tickets.
I think it is now sold out.
That was a very frustrating experience. The ticket office put me on hold until the tickets were sold out, as well, but I expected to be able to use the freakin' website.
Typical computer snafu.

Of course, we all know of the storied UT-Austin baseball history, but I did a quick summary of the remaining teams going to the super regionals below.

Just realized.... 3 super regionals in the state of Texas.

Lubbock, Ft. Worth, Austin ... not bad.

Can you imagine the team from Charleston landing in Lubbock? The shock produced could necessitate a team psychologist for counseling.

Lubuttocks shocking - yes?

But what about our Big XII brothers in Norman and the Lil' Apple? What about them - shocking they are not on the big dance floor, what will they do this weekend?

I predict the law of averages takes over and that UH's ERA will RISE this weekend.

I'm feeling good things about the first baseman's hitting too. It's going to be a personal thing for him and I think he'll lash the ball.
