We gone!!!

For many years UGA opened with Clemson. Expansion of the SEC stopped that a couple of decades back. I'd like to see that rivalry. The two schools aren't very far apart, and paves the way for Clemson to be added to the SEC along with FSU, Texas Tech, & oSu.

So, a thread titled with three (!!!) exclamation points announcing Texas leaving the Big 12 seems to indicate joy. Sorry if I misread that.

I am happy that an early exit was worked out.
While I am not necessarily thrilled by the $ec, I see no need to hang around in a lame duck conference for another three years.
If we're going then let's get the hell out of here.
If I wanted to express joy, instead of exclamation points I would have used a dancing banana. :coolnana: ;)

I am happy a deal has been made. I can't wait till we mudhole the overrated SEC.
My prediction for those wannabes:

PAIN

Hahah I sure hope you’re right poms. I like your moxy.
I like tio think that our hard fought battles with the Kansases and Iowa States of the world have prepared us. Iron against iron.

One thing that gives me hope is that outside of arky and aggy and ou,maybe we won’t be every team’s Super Bowl. they might take us only as seriously as our .600 record deserves.

The sense I am getting from this board is that now everyone is giddy to be joining the SEC.
For my part, I am much more giddy to know we are scraping the Baylors and Texas Techs of the world off the bottom of our shoes.

Granted, there is some nasty stuff in the SEC into which we may also trod, but for now the prospect of having clean shoes and a wallet not being drained by a host of welfare queens is rather refreshing.

Do I hope Texas wins? Sure. Will it ruin me for several days afterwards like it used to? Hell no.

Nah... I just like the idea of seeing us play those teams at home. The atmosphere will be electric. I will never say SEC SEC SEC... I got a kick out of Aggy's reaction when they left and when they realized we're coming. It's just football to me and I love Texas. That's it.

If you look at that chart, it actually shows tt as a yearly opponent. I can find no value in that crap so I hope its a mistake! Never seeing the fecal canal called lubbock Texas would be a win no matter what else happens!!

Its ironic that Texas and ou have to pay these large exit fees when atm and the nebraska did not pay like that.

The Horns and OU we're still contractually obligated to the Big 12, therefore had to buy their way out. I don't remember whether the Aggies or Nebraska were still under contract or if they left at the end of their obligation.

$12.4 million was what was reported.

Future schedule rotation looks favorable to Texas to me …. Separating Alabama and Georgia, separating Auburn and Florida … I’ll take it
