Fortunately Pope carried the team for 10 minutes of the 2nd half.

This is so good to see. For our 1st 10-15 games, Pope was lost. He's found his way and has been on fire the last several games!

Texas outscored 23-3 after I posted this.

He did his warm-ups, then went to the locker room, and then came out to play to finish the game.

Horns get a Quad 1 win. I’m still not sold on their scheme. Too much 1 on 1 in offense. Fortunately Pope carried the team for 10 minutes of the 2nd half.

But it’s a conference road win period. #2 Auburn came into Moody as a 10 pt favorite. They blew a 20 pt lead and won by 5 and their fans response- ‘good road win, chalk it up and move on’.

We were a 3 pt underdog tonight, blew a 23 pt lead but held on to win by 4. I’m sure our fans will be like- ‘This team sucks, Terry sucks- can’t even put a team away with 23 pt lead’.

A victory over the Sooners is a victory over the Sooners.

OU was the 2nd team in "Others receiving votes", which basically makes them the #27 team in the country, or a #7 seed. Not bad.

If I had the $7.2MM buyout in my pocket, I would have met CdC on the tarmac in Austin and pulled a Michael Corleone "slowly close the door to the bus while Terry looks on from the other side" move.

Blowing that game was inexcusable, and would have been an L if OU didn't throw away the turnovers towards the end. The offensive dry spell was bad, but the worse part was just allowing OU to dictate the pace and scheme when LOSING by 20+ points. Terry couldn't come up with any sort of competent way to slow it. The final would have been a lot more like the A&M game if OU could put together a streak without kicking the ball away.
