We could be #4 this week

Mine would be:
1. OU
2. Bama
3. Mizzou
4. LSU
5. Texas

Could 4 of the top 6 be from the Big 12? I think so

LSU did not look all that great yesterday. I think some voters will start realizing that Texas and McCoy are for real. I think we should gain ground on LSU and maybe even Missouri.

I think tomorrow's poll looks like:

1. OU
2. Alabama
3. Missouri
4. LSU
5. Texas

But if I were voting, I'd slot us ahead of LSU personally.

I really believe that Georgia getting killed at home is just more proof that the SEC is a little overrated this year. I say 'little' because it is still a great conference. But, just like the Big XII, it's top heavy with super teams and then drops off. Tennessee sucks and they kept it close with an Auburn team that can't score points to save their life. Florida lost AT HOME to Ole Miss (gimme a fuckin' break!). Someone has already pointed out Alabama rise from the ashes with wins that aren't proving to be so great after all. Etc...

The Big XII's best teams haven't really played anyone yet but have all been blowing out those they have played and have bonified heisman contenders at qb. That (quality qb's) in and of itself gives some legitimacy to the Big XII's best team's rankings. However, CU lost to a Fl St team that is terrible and Nebraska lost to Va Tech which is mediocre this year. So, how good are the middle of the road Big XII teams??

I'd say each conference has about 4-5 great teams. And I'd match up our top 5 against theirs any day of the week.

It will suck if we beat OU and don't jump 'bama but for some reason the pollsters seem to be less scared about making jumps and punishing teams for bad losses. So, maybe that won't happen.

I can tell you this...If we win our next three games we will have #1 Texas appearing on the screen. I like the look of that!

Didn't we just beat Arkansas by more than they beat them?
Yeah but who would come out on top between a Georgia/Ark match up? No doubt.

The USC love fest is already being replaced by the Alabama love fest.

After the next three games, Longhorns either move way up, or way down. And if it's up -- with wins over OU and UM -- chances are the media will launch Alabama into a unanimous No. 1 and declare them the greatest team since Bryant was there, and maybe the greatest team of all time.

Horns will be a distant No. 2 hanging right in there with the discussion on where they might trip up.
