We are improving.

Gee, it's amazing how much better Tim Beck is at calling plays when we have just a modicum of blocking.

and yet ... playcalling was what stumped our offense more than penalties ... or WVA defense.

I know that Heard-Sam was a "fun" play ... and it gained a LOT of yards, but we typically have the ball spending WAY too much time going sideways. The possessions we consistently attack the LOS ... we were successful. When we stopped doing that ... we showcased our punting ability.

I agree on the north south running game (downhill). Now that Williams is back that will work a whole lot better. Thank God.

I'm old school but I like the ball going sideways, when were running the option and turning the corner for a nice gain.....I'm being nostalgic.

there's a big difference in a Jet sweep/triple option ... and the draws wide/zone read that VY made so successful. Triple option has two guys running direct at the LOS, btw. The bubble screen ... the 1/2 yard drag pass (not as bad, at least the receiver is moving)
