You can be sure George Jr will spend whatever it takes to get Cliff. His first yr, he needs to make that splash.
Not sure if Cliff wants to be here, I sure hope he does. Nolan's comment about October baseball in the north kinda backfired on him....Last nite it was 55 cool degrees in NY, so Cliff was thinking "hmmm, a summer full of 100 degree days, or a couple of 55degree evenings. What to do? What to do?"
Also, you know the MLB union will pressure Cliff to sign the highest bid. The more he makes, the more it raises the bar for teams to pay for top flite pitching.
We need him, no doubt about it.
