Walking Dead Season 3

The only one you know for sure is going to live is Rick (the protagonist). Reminds me of Tony Soprano in that regard.

I kind of wish I hadn't read the gnovels. I wish the phone was a total surprise to me even though the 2 stories separate on many things.

I'm liking the Michonne character more and more. One thing I like better about the gnovel character is the way she talked to herself without realizing it having been alone for so long. That was a thoughtful post apocalyptic touch.

Agreed on Michonne; they've made her character far too misanthropic.

They had the actress on Talking Dead once and she's in reality an African sweetie pie.

Well it's going to be awhile til February when the series resumes. It seems as each season goes so does the number of episodes. This season is 16 with the last 8 still to come. Anyways.....

I wonder what Merle thinks of the Governor now? lol And please dear lord kill off Andrea's character soon!

Yeah about Andrea. She gives dumb blondes a bad name. Can't wait till Feb.

Great season opener. I also rewatched the previous 3 seasons over the last 2 weekends.

SPOILERS AHEAD!

Did anyone think it was strange when Beth (Hershel's youngest daughter) kissed Rick on the cheek when he returned and the look they shared afterwards and Beth's comments to Carol about how she's always wanted to have a baby?

Was I the only one disappointed in the season finale? I have not read any of the comics so I do not know where it is heading but I found the Governor's gunning down of his followers stupid. I can't imagine his other two henchman not shooting him as he did it.

I also didn't like the complete changing of Rick's perspective. Yes, Carl's matter-of-fact killing of the kid handing over his gun affected him, but I cannot see the cold, calloused Rick, who let the young male hitchhiker, who was desperate for help seemingly an earlier episode, just fend for himself, now takes in a busload of mouths to feed without any of them being capable of offering much help to the group. It just doesn't seem too logical with all that transpired this season. I was so looking forward to the finale and was left feeling pretty flat. I suspect this show may have 'jumped the shark" for me here. I hope not but I would not be surprised if my interest wanes next season. What do y'all think?

I agree on the governor's gunning down of the group. He's all about force so why would you kill the numbers advantage? I could understand shooting 1-2 members as a show of intimidation but the entire group? I was expecting them to shoot 1-2 people then head right back to attack the prison.

When Rick was standing there as the young, old and infermed got off the bus he looked up to the elevated walkway and his wife was gone. I took that to mean that the old helpful Rick had returned thus he was no longer haunted by his widow.

I find the series not as good in its third season as it was in its first two seasons. It shows signs of being too much in love with itself.

The episode where Rick meets with the Governor to hash out an agreement is plodding and slow. Often, I find that there are too many scenes of drawn-out emoting.

I missed the finale, but I am not on the edge of my seat.

I was surprised at how captivated I was by the fist season and I enjoyed much of the second season, but it's losing steam for me.

I disagree, Roma. The 3rd season was much better than Season 2 with the notable exception of the episode you mentioned. Season 2 was VERY slow focused primarily on character development. Season 3 has a lot of action which fits well with my ADD.

I must admit to only seeing some of Season 3, so maybe that episode skewed my vision. There was too much moral debate in Season 2, but it was more satisfying as a whole than what I've seen of Season 3.

I have enjoyed all of the episodes. Can't wait for next season.

"I agree on the governor's gunning down of the group. He's all about force so why would you kill the numbers advantage? "

--Because is is completely insane?

I agree that the finale was a little disappointing but necessary. Weve seen the governor grow increasing unstable then, at the end, go ape **** crazy. Season 4 is going to be very interesting with what he does. I do like that Rick when back to being "officer friendly".

I was glad to see Andrea go, but sad to see Merle die. He was an easy guy to hate but one of the most interesting characters who never had a boring scene.

I cant wait until season 4.
