vs Cyclones

Well, the easy stat that pops out is 3 pointers. That's the glaring difference. Ohh well, fought hard til the end. Just couldn't knock any long distance shots down tonight.
TOs is the other stat the results in more ISU possessions.

Mitchell is also 0-0, no shots does not help.

One thing that bothers me about Terry is that he's too passive with refs. Iowa St has taken some serious cheap shots under the basket that could've resulted in serious injury. Refs just watched. RT has to be on the court screaming at the refs, get a T or whatever it takes to take up for his players and not let the refs get away with it. I've yet to see him get on a ref.
Not to mention the time when Grill was calling timeout in front of the UT bench after a made 3. Why didn't the official grant Grill a timeout?? Because he knew he didn't mean it? Oh, you mean he was "taunting"? Isn't that a technical? These officials are just incredible.

Pretty much looked at this as a loss coming from about Sunday on so I cant say I am surprised. When Iowa State is even marginally good Ames is a ridiculously tough place to play and not many teams will go in there this season and win. Opportunity missed but really its just on to next tough road game Saturday and hope for .500 week.

Yeah I'm not upset that we lost. It was bound to happen at some point, especially on the road.

The upsetting part is that we can't seem to get out of our own way when it comes to 3-point defense and turnovers.

Even with those extended scoring droughts surprisingly Texas managed to outshoot ISU 46% to 44%.
Unfortunately they hit 5 more 3’s than TX, outrebounded us by 7 (including 9 offensive) and won the TO battle by 6. Texas was great at the FT line (86.4%), but they made more FT’s than Texas shot

That was a dirty undercut of Mitchell…no call

Just watched the replay a few times. The ref should be suspended for the rest of the year. He stared right at it and did nothing. What is he doing out there then if that doesn't merit a call? It was gross negligence if it wasn't an intentional homer non-call.
