VP Debate Prediciton

What exactly have BO and JB said about how thy will turn things around? Nothing. More of the same, blah, blah, blah.

Saw a cartoon with George W says "If Obama thought he inherited a mess last time, what until he sees the mess he will inherit if he wins this time".

Here's the problem for Biden. We aren't living in the age of radio where no one can see the candidates. 1960 is a great example of a debate in which a tanned Kennedy was perceived to have won over an underweight, pale Nixon. Biden actually may have won the debate if we only listened to the radio. Unfortunately for him, he came across as a nasty, disrespectful, old man who appears to be out of it.

Uh oh.

CNBC ‏@CNBC
[POLL RESULTS] Who do you think won the VP Debate? Paul Ryan: 56%, Joe Biden: 36%, Neither: 8%. #CNBC2012

Ryan won the debate, but Biden was so much better than Obama. I look for Obama to again refuse to do his homework for the next debate, and possibly play hooky, from debating Romney altogether. He may wish to send Joe in his place.

Ryan was objectively OWNED tonight. Biden appeared dismissive of Ryan because he was and is dismissive of Ryan. This wasn't a fair fight at all. Ryan was forced to admit that he asked Biden for stimulus money and exhibited no depth on foreign policy issues.

I think most people have their minds made up at this point and will see their guy as the winner and the better option. So be it, but this was as one sided as it can get.

CNN poll has Ryan winning (basically a draw though), Ryan coming off as more likable and more people swayed towards Romney/Ryan than Obama/Biden. Considering all 3 of those factors, it sounds like Ryan did his job for Romney. Biden may have gotten some zingers in (not sure, I wasn't watching) but Ryan did better for his candidate.

---CNN:
Forty-eight percent of those surveyed said Ryan fared better in the vice-presidential debate, compared with 44 percent for Biden, according to results aired on CNN after the event concluded. The results were within the survey’s five-percentage- point margin of error.
---NBC:
Ryan was declared the winner over Biden by 63 percent to 31 percent in a poll of 534 uncommitted voters conducted by NBC News after the debate. Fifty-six percent thought Biden would be an effective president if necessary, compared with Fifty-four percent for Ryan, according to the CBS poll.
---CNBC:
According to a tweet from CNBC's verified Twitter account, an after-debate poll shows Ryan crushing Biden 56 - 36% [POLL RESULTS] Who do you think won the VP Debate? Paul Ryan: 56%, Joe Biden: 36%, Neither: 8
---Danville Advocate Messenger:
Post Debate Polls: 56 Percent Say Paul Ryan Won Vice Presidential Debate, 41% Biden

Obama is thinking "Oh ****" after tonights debate. He stated he was too nice in the last debate so he was planning on doing what Biden did tonight. One problem, Biden came across as a jerk that was disrespectful and condescending and he still lost the debate. Obama doesn't know how to act now. President Romney will be kicking ex-president Obama's *** in the next two debates. Two things that Obama can't overcome. A bad record and facts.

HHD - thanks for making me laugh out loud! And I am shocked- SHOCKED - the CBS numbers were so different. They probably called Danny Rather to find out what they should report.

OK, the scorecards are in. Biden interrupted Ryan 82 times in Ryan's roughly 40 minutes of speaking time. Ryan interrupted Biden 6 times in Biden's roughly 42 minutes of speaking time.

Biden's a tool who likes to interupt and is short on facts.

Not surprising that the various partisans here favor their own guy. The question as always is what do the undecideds think. It is hard to tell who advanced their cause through this.

The CNN poll covered debate watchers.

The CBS poll covered undecided voters.

Obama objectively had a horrid first debate as he simply allowed Romney to lie about his own positions.

Ryan was absolutely owned and got away with nothing.

Biden looked like an angry, bitter old man. He laughed sarcastically, mugged, guffawed, and impolitely interrupted. He pointed his finger accusingly, usually at BO's personal friend, the moderator. And come on, how many times did he say "my friend here" or refer to Ryan as his friend? He even came close to Lloyd Bentsen's "you're no Jack Kennedy" remark and we all know how well that worked. I wanted to reach through the TV screen and slap that smirk off of his face. I can't imagine that anyone that is undecided liked Biden's performance.

I have no trouble believing that he and BO didn't know that 1) the Libyan Embassy requested more security, or 2) that the CIA knew hours after the attack that it was terrorism. He threw the CIA under the bus on that question, but then said that because of the CIA they know exactly how close Iran is to an atomic weapon.

I've always thought that Biden was an unmitigated dumbass. Now I think that he's impolite, unmitigated dumbass.

Moderator did a piss poor job. She interrupted Ryan's train of thought at least 4 times, including one time where he was about to bring up Solyndra. While she did ask some pointed questions, i think a happy medium would fall between her and Jim Lehrer.

Ryan did a good job in trying to hammer the point that Obama too often defers any stances or course of action to the UN, making us look weak. Also hammered the fact that Obama would rather appear on talk shows like The View/Letterman, than meet with Israel's PM.

Need to watch the first 10 minutes still, as i was putting the kid to bed, but i heard Biden destroyed himself with whatever answer he gave on Benghazi

Biden seemed rude and condescending. Moderator did little to keep him from interrupting Ryan. Ryan showed much more class

Anyone else hear the huff from Biden during Ryan's closing statements? Even my wife noticed that
