I certainly think this debate will be much less impactful than the P debate, but it should make for interesting TV.

Biden does not want to get specific with Ryan at all. In a numbers game, Biden gets worked over. Ryan doesnt want to get put down by a Biden zinger and will therefore try and keep it close to the vest and stick to policy issues.

One thing about Ryan is that from watching him on the talk shows, he doesnt get flustered too easily and really has a very good comand of his facts and positions. Sometimes to a fault. Biden lkes to talk in the abstract and he can sound good without actually saying anything.

I predict Ryan will want to make this a debate about the policies and issues and specifics and Biden will be looking soley to make Ryan look bad. I'd guess Biden will get into Ryan's religious beliefs somehow. Biden will be looking for a "you are no Jack Kennedy" opportunity and Ryan just might give him one.

Ryan will press Biden on the record of the last 4 years and Biden will trumpet the recent unemployment figures a sproof that the economy and country are moving in the right direction.

Should be fun.
 
If you've seen Ryan go up against Debbie Wasserman, then you know he will have no problem going up against another clown
 
Don't know if Ryan really clobbered her or not. Perception rules the day. Ryan needs to stay away from engaging in name calling and eye rolling if he wants to help the cause.

Biden is much more polished in a debate setting than DWS. He will be ready.
 
Bronco is right. Debbie Wasserman Schultz is dumb, smug, shrill, bitchy, and clearly has a chip on her shoulder. She's the Democrats' answer to Michele Bachmann. She's a total turn-off anybody who isn't a militant partisan Democrat, so he can get away with rolling his eyes and being sarcastic with her.

However, Biden is sharp, folksy, but self-assured. Ryan has to be a lot more careful with him.

Biden goes for big yards on the run to the left side of the line even though he's primarily a passing VP.

Ryan has a break out game even though he's a younger player plus his defense finally stops Biden inside the 20 and gets the turnover on downs, runs out the clock.
 
I see Ryan winning if the debate is kept to the issues. I don't expect Paul to kick Biden around like Mitt did Obama, but you have to remember Biden isn't as dumb as the MSM would have you believe. They only do that to make Obama look better.
 
Biden will at least come off less arrogant than Obama. I think Ryan needs to be careful about speaking down to Biden. That will back-fire.
 
Biden is coming off as an ***. His constant laughing while Ryan is talking makes him look like the village idiot. I'm still shocked that Obama didn't dump him.

The moderator seems to be teaming up with the Vp. Biden comes across as a jerk to me and talks over Ryan all the time.
 
VP Biden is coming across as a complete condescending douche who just got a joke he heard yesterday. Ryan is staying on point. Good for him.
 
I think Biden is acting like a huge jerk---I can't believe he is laughing when they are talking about stuff like Iran and nuclear weapons.

I'm an independent, but have many Obama/Biden friends....they think Biden is doing awesome! If I were a huge democrat, I would be ashamed of his antics---I'm ashamed as an American that this is what he and his party thinks will win over America?

Laughing like a goon, interupting, forcing zingers, (such as now your Jack Kennedy? haw haw) whan Ryan is calmly trying to ask a question asked, interupted, during his time.

Good Lord, what a joke.

Interesting. I thought the debate pretty much sucked. No depth. Plenty of interruption. I wish I had been watching football.

Also, Joe Biden behaved rudely pretty much the entire debate. It will be interesting to see how attractive that undecided voters found this kind of behavior.
 
There was a moderator? This moderator failed to stop one of Biden's obvious instructions to obstruct actual discussion of each other's policies. Good grief.
 
Alright Obama, your wingman did an awesome job. He made Ryan look like he was wanted to cry, especially on Afghanistan and Iran. AND he cornered Ryan into essentially admitting that Romney/Ryan would outlaw abortion if elected.

Joe got you the ball back. Now drive down the field!
