Vote for the New Texas License Plate

i voted for the bluebonnet one (i just like the flower) and i remember being little and going to the "promontory point" hill right near the interchange of 290 and 183, course now its a feeder road =(. but i'm cool with the simple design, but i dont like the city skyline one. . .

I can live with 1, 4, or 5. I never liked the current one. I had a State of the Arts one for awhile. It'd be hard to use that in a 7-digit format.

None of the above. Can't they get one decent graphic design in the competition? The State of the Arts is good.
The plain Lone Star State with the smallish Texas flag is acceptable, but the design has gone downhill for years.
Yeah, they are much better at taking the gas tax and using it for general state revenues and forcing toll roads on us than designing license plates.

Maybe TxDOT has made the new designs so ugly in hopes that more people will purchase the specialty plates in order to not have one of the monstrosities on their car?

i posted this on the quacks thread with the same topic:

these options suck. i like our current license plate, and i guess the third one in that list is the closest one to it.

it's simple, not too flashy, and it has a space shuttle, a cowboy, an oil well, and wide open spaces.
